Has anyone else ever had 3 bloom spikes blooming but just a minute crown on any pings before? I’ve grown pings for a little while now and have watched plenty of blooms, but never seen the growth point change this drastically before. Three blooms isn’t that crazy but the sudden small growth point has me stumped. To my eyes this doesn’t look like succulent phase, least not with a shift this extreme? Humidity, light, and watering have all stayed the same since I got these about 2 months ago. They are P. ehlersiae x mesophytica, and any ideas and thoughts are greatly appreciated :)
Literally have the hardest time finding these big pumice! If anyone has a good shop or website for regularly finding more of these chunky ones lmk
Secondly, any recs for what pings you think would look nice on this rock? Currently have a fair amount of cultivars, in other pingdoms, to choose from with props also growing so options are available :) Naturally will get some moss started growing all over to help wick water a little more evenly!
Thanks for your suggestions :)
I have a package of ping seeds coming in tomorrow and am wondering what substrates everyone tends to prefer for germinating them in ikea greenhouses. Have a few different mixes in mind and will likely try a few methods, but I wanted to check and see what others (who hopefully have tried before) use.
Lights are on 14hrs p/day and humidity typically sits between 65%-85%.
Thank you in advance for any help:)
Will never cease to amaze me how small pings grow in succulent phase. Both of these are gypsicola x agnata, not sure what exact cultivar the purple one is.
