Why are we struggling?

My LO is just now 7m and EBF. We have been cosleeping since he was a few weeks old. He’s a little legend when it comes to taking naps during the day now…he was a notorious contact napper.

Now we’re running into nighttime issues. He will often feed to sleep. The times he doesn’t, we are struggling. It’s like he doesn’t want to be rocked but then he doesn’t want to lay down either. I will try to lay down next to him and rub/pat his back. But he fights it and tries to sit up or move around. When I try to hold him he pushes off me. I finally kinda gave up tonight and just laid next to him while he cried and fussed. He eventually crawled on top of me and fell asleep. I’m honestly at a loss. It’s like he’s trying to put himself to sleep but just can’t do it. He also chronically wakes up 30-40 mins after falling asleep. But he’s super easy to get back down after.

Any tips or tricks or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

At a loss…diaper check!

I’m at a loss. I’ve been dairy free for over 2 months now and have seen a significant improvement in my 6mo. GP suspects it’s just CMPI as he doesn’t have a severe reaction. But then all of a sudden today he’s got blood again.

Is this where I consider eliminating soy now too? Or chalk it up to an accidental slip up. I feel like I’m at a loss. He is otherwise a happy healthy 98 percentile baby. I don’t know anymore.

Nappy Check! How long till baseline?

How long till you normally see improvements in nappies? I’ve been dairy free for almost 3 weeks with only a small slip up 2 weeks ago with some milk in bread. He’s had more blood in his stool recently and wondering what our next steps should be while waiting for another GP appointment.

Can my LO sleep on his tummy in the sidecar?

My LO is 4 months old and has decided he loves sleeping on his tummy. We currently have a sidecar setup and this works well for us. When put to sleep he is on his back and rolls himself over. During the day for naps this hasn’t been an issue as I’m awake and watching him. My question is what do I do at night? Is it safe for him to roll onto his stomach in the sidecar? I’m currently doing the c curl and acting as a barrier to the bed, and will often try to keep him at least on his side. How does this work? Someone help!

Diaper check…not sure what I’m looking for.

My 4mo LO has potential CMPI. GP asked me to eliminate dairy for the next few weeks to assess. But is this the mucus I’m supposed to be looking for? Or does this look normal for a EBF baby?

My almost 4mo LO has been cosleeping with us since he was like 5 weeks old. We’ve always nursed to sleep and that has seemed to work a charm. Lately I’ll nurse to sleep but then 30-40 mins later he wakes up. His newest trend is immediately trying to roll onto his stomach to soothe himself. Problem is…he’s a bit of a silent reflux baby and when he sleeps on his tummy it pushes it all up and he ends up covered in spit up.

So my question is this….

  1. How do I stop this these false starts

  2. Why is he obsessed with rolling onto his tummy right when he’s waking up.

FTM here and I’ve been bed sharing with my LO since he was 4 weeks. He’s now almost 4 months. More recently we are having more spit ups or wet throughs during the night. And gonna be honest…sick of changing sheets.

Has anyone used those Rudie Baby or Spewy bed guards? Is there any harm for baby using one?
