The newest addition to my collection of originals, and oldest, the French Pistolet Mle.1777 at far left. The first locally produced American martial pistol, the North & Cheney Model 1799, was a slighlty modified clone of the Mle.1777. Alongside it are the US Model 1819 and US Model 1836.
