I caved for a different dress last(ish) minute, and it was super worth it!

1st photo is the dress I ended up wearing to my wedding, second is the original dress after 6+ attempts of altering it to fit my body, 3rd is what the original dress looked like when I tried it on!

I completely fell in love with my original dress when I first tried it on, but for some reason the size that was sent to me sat completely different on me. My amazing seamstress tried multiple ties to make it fit my figure, but ultimately I still felt incredibly uncomfortable in it. I ended up caving and buying myself a dress off Etsy and I could not be happier with it.

I got endless compliments, was extremely comfortable in it, and felt super pretty all day!

It initially felt excessive and wasteful of me buying a full on second wedding dress, but at the end of the day — I was able to afford myself this comfort and I’m so happy that I did. If you’re in the position to do so and second guessing it — do it!

Best eye products to achieve this type glittery look?

Hi! I’m getting married in a few weeks, and I recently did my make up trial. I used these photos for reference, and though the make up artist was great - she didn’t do anything close to this ethereal/fairy look for my eyes. I think it’s because she is used to doing more traditional bridal looks, so she might not have the right products to achieve it. I was wondering what type of eye glitter I can bring in myself that she could use to help achieve something similar?

Thank you for any help in advance!

Books that made you feel similar to reading The Hobbit for the first time?

People often recommend re-reading the Lord of the Rings books, and I do have a fierce love for them, but I’m looking to feel the way I did when I specifically first read The Hobbit. A bit whimsical, scenic, almost simplistic. I’ve been reading a lot of heavier/dark epic fantasies and would love to be taken out of them for a bit if anyone has any recommendations for something charming and adventurous!

greenflowerpot style of yearning/simpy Draco?

I love all Dracos but the yearning and simping that greenflowerpot writes always hits a mark for me that I am forever chasing. I think I just love how big of a focal point his interest/care for her is throughout all of their stories.

Are there any similar works where Draco is as intensely obsessed with Hermione as he seems to always be in GFP’s work?

I just had my medieval themed bachelorette but my love for cottagecore ended up peaking through more than expected!

Looking back at all of my outfits and activities from the weekend and realized I just ended up leaning towards cottagecore again more than anything so wanted to share!

ETA: Forgot to add that we went pottery painting and my MOH and I both painted small fairy houses with mushrooms! A bit sad I forgot to add it to the photos now so you’ll just have to imagine it haha
