Finding chill people to game with shouldn’t be this hard

I swear everybody looking for teammates in TikTok comments, random Discords, Reddit posts, everywhere BUT actual LFG apps now 😭

Half the groups die after one session or nobody talks.

That’s kinda why I started building TapTeam. Still early and the mobile app still in development, but I got the web version up while I keep working on it.

Main goal is honestly just helping people find consistent squads and people they actually click with instead of random matchmaking energy.

Curious if anybody else been feeling this lately or if I’m just getting old lol

Anybody else feel like modern LFG kinda lost the “social” part of gaming?

Maybe I’m just getting older, but finding actual long-term gaming friends feels way harder now than it used to.
Back then you’d randomly meet people in a lobby and somehow end up gaming together for years. Now most LFG spaces feel super transactional. Everybody’s just speed-running teammates for one session, then disappearing.
A lot of people aren’t even looking for “the best player” either. Most people I talk to just want:
chill teammates

consistent squads

people they naturally click with

no weird toxicity or ego

people to actually run games with long term

Honestly it’s a huge part of why I started building TapTeam. Been working on creating a more social-focused teammate finder instead of the usual endless “need 1 healer” spam channels.
The mobile apps are still in development rn, but the web version is already live if anybody wants to check it out and give feedback while I keep building:
tapteam.app
Curious if other people have been feeling this too or if it’s just the current state of online gaming rn.

NA | PC/Console | Looking for chill long-term teammates + testing a better LFG idea

Been grinding Rivals and noticing how hard it is to actually find consistent people to play with outside of random Discord posts or quick one-off squads.
Most LFG systems feel like:

“need tank”
“need healer”
play 2 games
never talk again 😭

So I started building a side project called TapTeam focused more on finding people you actually click with long-term based on:
role/playstyle
competitive vs casual mindset
communication style
goals
personality/vibe
games you actively play

Still super early alpha and I’m updating/fixing things constantly, but the web version is live and I’m looking for real feedback from actual Rivals players while building it.

[LF] Early testers for TapTeam — a teammate-finding site I’ve been building (US-based, 16+, any game)

What I'm looking for: gamers willing to make a profile, post a squad or use Quick Match, and tell me what's good and what sucks.

What it is: TapTeam (tapteam.app) — a site I've been building solo to actually find teammates you click with based on playstyle, role, goals, and what kind of squad you're after. Not just "need 1 dps" spam.

Who it's for right now:
- US-based (launching US-only first)
- 16+ minimum
- Any game — works for team-based stuff especially well
- Web app is live, iOS and Android still in development

It's free, takes about a minute to set up, phone-verified so no bots. I'm actively shipping updates so things will keep changing, but I'm on it daily.

If you've ever rage-quit a Discord LFG channel because every message disappears in 30 seconds, this might be for you. Drop a comment or just sign up and let me know what you think.

TapTeam — a teammate-finding app focused on actually clicking with your squad, looking for early testers

Been working on something called TapTeam (tapteam.app) for a while and figured I should finally let people try it instead of just building in silence 🫠.
Gamers are trying to find teammates literally everywhere now — Facebook groups, TikTok comments, random Reddit threads, Discord LFG channels that move too fast to read. And most LFG apps feel dead, full of spam, or just turn into “need 1 dps” posts with zero personality behind them.
So I started building something focused on actually finding people you click with based on:

• games you actually play
• rank / skill level
• playstyle
• goals (casual, grinding, competitive, chilling)
• personality and how you communicate
• what kind of squad you actually want

It’s in early access and I’m shipping updates daily. Web app is live now — iOS and Android are still in development. Want real gamer feedback now instead of waiting until it’s “polished” and finding out I built the wrong thing.
If you mainly play team-based games and know the pain of random squads, I’d love for you to try it and tell me what’s good, what sucks, and what’s missing.
tapteam.app — free, takes about a minute to set up.
