Would you eat this?

Does this make you curious to try, or recoil in horror? Have we now reached a certain point in humanity where there's no turning back?

SHOW HER THE MONEY!!!

Why does the pay conversation seem to be over? It's blown up revenue-wise: The tour, the advertisers, the merch, the appearances... They are celebs in their own right. Where are the big bonuses like the boys get?

Feeling outnumbered at home

From my kids turning their noses up at meat substitutes, to my recycling novice husband, to my shopping obsessed parents, sometimes being even moderately granola feels impossible.

I tried to cut out dairy and just ended up giving up because people kept forgetting. I don't feel like I can say anything when my folks bring my kids (very plastic) presents. Heck people don't even switch lights off when they leave a room.

Sorry this was a little vent. I know how it sounds but it's just how I feel today...

River of regrets

It was a beautiful day today. We walked along the river through Bute Park. We stopped along one of the little stone beaches. And folks were swimming... Someone had their baby in the water. A group of girls were having a full on water fight.

For the first time in 40 years... I took my shoes off and paddled in the Taff...

I don't know what came over me.

Tenancy Deposit Scheme win

We moved out 6 months ago and I finally got my full deposit back minus just £100 thanks to the TDS. I just wanted to share my learnings:

- They can only withhold the disputed amount, they have to pay the rest back on time. So we could afford to wait it out.

- Many, many emails to landlord were always polite and reasonable. I offered them £100 to settle but they declined (thank you Chat GPT)

- Those emails, plus photos, provided the evidence I needed to submit my argument to TDS

- My argument was all around reasonable wear and tear and the time we lived there. I kept it clear and to the point.

Basically TDS then decided that the landlord was overcharging me and it was in fact reasonable wear and tear over the four years we lived there.

All this faff won me back my £300!

The fact I beat my landlord is priceless.
