I just caught this!!

I just caught this!!

This used to be one of my dream horses but now that I like thoroughbreds instead of Marwaris, it’s no longer a dream horse anymore though it’s really cool that I was able to catch one

I actually wasn’t intending to hunt on this island but luckily I saw this horse before I left the game. Does anyone know the value of this horse?

Ive started to halter-train a calf that ive named Storm

I know that the halter looks a bit big on her but it’s because she’s still only a week or so old. She will eventually grow into it

Vegans love spamming in comment sections instead of trying to actually help in real life

I’ve seen this person comment quite a few times on Insta, mainly under videos that show animals in farms but this person isn’t even doing anything to help. Nobody acknowledges them. Nobody replies to them saying ‘omg yes, we should stop doing this’. They get nothing out of this apart from wasting their time.

The video they commented under wasn’t even about factory farming, it was about the Sheep Detective movie. If this person really wants to make a difference then they should go outside and ‘save’ animals. I don’t mind vegans but when they spam like this and try to force it on people, then thats when I don’t like them.

I also recently saw another post about bobby calves and how it’s bobby calf awareness month. As someone who grew up in the dairy industry and just recently got very involved with the meat industry, I know a bit about this topic. In the comments, someone said that bobbys are starved. They’re not. It’s illegal to starve them. Even before they’re put on a truck and sent to the meat house, they have to be fed at least 5 hours (not sure if it’s 5 or more hours). The farmer will get in lots of trouble if they don’t feed their bobby calves. Even if the calf is wet, the truck drivers cant accept the calf onto their truck. (If you don’t know what a bobby calf is = to put it in simple terms, it’s what farmers call the calf of a heifer, who just became a cow after she had her first baby. Farmers breed beef bulls to their heifers so that they don’t have to spend lots of money. A bobby can also be a bull calf)

Just noticed that the person who posted that comment said that factory farming is harmful for the workers as well. My therapist literally said that I could ditch school and hang out with my mum on the dairy farm she works at because it was clear to them that dairy farming made me happy lol

Cute calves

It’s currently calving season in my country so lots of farms have calves and because my mum works for farmers, they allow me to play with them

My hen has decided to become a bunny and make her nest underground!

I noticed that she had been missing for a few days so I thought a cat or dog might’ve taken her but she suddenly showed up this morning. I decided to stay outside to see where she goes and she has a nest in a hole our dogs dug!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this? I don’t really know if we’d be able to reach the eggs so we could take them but even if we do, whats stopping her from doing this again?

Possible end for horse racing in New Zealand?

Saw this while scrolling through Facebook and saw that they’ve started to target a few racetracks to try and get them closed down, even historic ones. I don’t know if this is the actual end for horse racing in New Zealand, but I really hope not.

What’s your opinion on this? Greyhound racing is already going to be soon banned in New Zealand so maybe they’re going for horse racing now

The sweetest cow in the world

Another post of my lovely girl, Wonky ❤️

I love her so much and she’s literally the most perfect cow ever. You can brush her, touch her belly, touch her udder, touch her face and she won’t kick or try to get away. She would also be a very good ‘learner cow’ for someone learning how to cup a cow and do dairy farming, as she stands still most of the time and as long as your calm, she’ll be calm.

I really can’t believe that she’s finally mine!!! If she’s in calf, she will have her calf early next year then I am going to breed her with my favourite cow breed in the world, which is the Normande breed. After that, she’ll officially retire and will spend the rest of her life with her final calf ❤️

I went to a poultry show

I love going to poultry shows and I love looking at the heavy breeds. Another reason why I love going is because they usually sell chicken treats for quite cheap, so I of course had to buy some mealworms and I bought a chicken mug for my growing collection of decorated mugs

At this poultry show, you can also buy chickens, pigeons or ducks. In the future, I would love to buy some show chickens

Is this an Orpington or australorp?

Quite a few months ago, I sold what I thought was an australorp rooster. Today, the person who bought him, told my mum that he thinks the rooster is an Orpington. The chicken in the photos is the sister of that rooster and I do think she’s an Orpington. Ive got another Orpington hen and they look so similar but I thought it was just a coincidence.

The person who sold me these ‘australorps’ didn’t have the chicks in an ethical area, plus they listed them as ‘pure Australorps’

What do you think is the prettiest dairy breed?

Next year, I am planning to breed my cow and I’ll be mainly going for looks, not how well the calf will produce milk. I do quite like the look of milking shorthorns and brown swiss, but I thought I’d try and see what other people thought of whats the prettiest dairy breed

I have been getting notifications from Reddit groups I don’t want to be in or get notifications from. I don’t know if ‘block’ is the right wording but it’s kinda driving me crazy with the notifications
