If your supplemental and secondary claims are files closely be aware!!

I have a claim secondary to tinnitus, and I also have a supplemental claim from last year that I just restarted. I submitted them around 3 to 4 days apart. I called the VA this morning as I saw i moved to step three. They requested information from my Supplemental claims DBQ exam and try to place it into my SECONDARY claim which are TWO totally different conditions. I spoke with the VA rep and made her write a letter so they can change it and I had to upload the CORRECT DBQ from the examiner so they can be directed and not interchangeable. Make sure y’all guys are checking and calling because if they mixed up my DBQ’s, n I NEVER CHECKED IT, I definitely would not have been serviced connected.

Static status while NOT service connected???

So I have a supplemental claim and used a Chrome extension to see the static status, just to find out my non-service-connected condition is considered... static? How sway? Is this just a technical error or...?

How to check static status for conditions

UPDATE*: there’s a chrome extension https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/va-disability-insight/hglalbdpifbckijfbadojpjcphdofkpa

So I’ve been seeing a lot of people question if they will lose their percentage or benefits the answer is : it depends. If your condition is static or not. For those who don’t know, static means your condition is not getting better. If it is not static, it can be examined again with a chance to be lowered percentage wise. Here’s an easy way to check

Pulmonary embolism examiner skipped breathing test

So last year, I had a pulmonary embolism in both my lungs and almost passed away. The next month I had a C&P exam for my lungs. When I got there the examiner told me it was too soon and did not even take my breathing test causing a denial of service connection. It has not been a full year yet so I can still do a HLR. My question is will a HLR get me the C&P exam that I am entitled to or should I just do a supplemental claim and try all over again?? Advice???

MADE to the final stage of welding program onboarding

Oh man, I don’t know where to start. I’ve been trying to get into this program since December 2024, it’s Welding at a shipyard. Back in May, I took an attitude math test and failed by four points. Then I took another test last month in July failed that by two points as well. However, they liked my attitude and invited me back for an interview last week anyway. Did great at the interview and now they invited me back for the final stage of the group cohort. It’s a 14 week program that’s paid with a stipend. They will offer us full-time employment with good wages and benefits upon completion. To anybody who is still fighting out there keep fighting. I’ve been fighting for a while and it will pay off, keep going !

Didn’t pass the math portion

For my welding 14 week cohort to be onboarded as a welder at the shipyard just got the email they won’t be moving forward. But this is a lesson to anyone to not quite. I’ll have to wait till the top of next year for a different apprenticeship to open up. So be it. I’m gonna keep trying till I get in. Don’t give up yall
