Had to take a "break", still possible?

The marathon is end of October, so in 2 months.

In April I ran an half and afterwards I started training for the marathon.

However, I had some issues and thus didn't hit the mileage I was supposed to. Long story short I recognized the problem now, it were the shoes and I am angry that I did not get that idea earlier because I lost so much time.

My weekly kilometres are now at around 30km which I know is way too low for a marathon and only 2 month to go.

Should I just "give it up" now and switch to half marathon or continue with my plan ?

At which HSK level to try to read an actual novel?

Just out of curiosity to get a feeling. At which HSK level do you think it makes sense to try and read an actual novel (not a graded reader).

Just wondering because when I was leaning English, this was a groundbreaking learning mile stone for me.

Needed to look up quite a lot but learned much.

However, you need a solid base. Like where you learn new words but understand enough for it to still be fun and most importantly, have enough familiarity with sentence structure and grammar for it not to be a guessing game.

Completed series with actually strong/smart FMC

I am going on vacation and want to read so I am looking for reccommendations.

What I really want but can't find is the following

-a strong and smart FMC. She does not need to be overpowered but not weak and I especially do not want her to be dumbed down to cater to the MMC/to make the MMC appear stronger.

I hate it when the FMC is described as strong/smart and appears that way but actually isn't or gets dumber by each page

- healthy relationship or toxic on were FMC and MMC both add equally to it (like Book of Azrael for example)

-a MMC that is not extremely dominant, especially not during the spicy scenes. This is really important. I've come across many books where the MMC spanked, choked or degraded the FMC (out of nowhere to, was not discussed beforehand). This is an absolute no go for me.

-not a must: I'd like a MMC that is weaker/softer than the FMC and who falls first. Read too much of the opposite lately so now I'd like sth to counter that.

-I would prefer a historical setting

I am very grateful for any reccommendations.

I am just curious.

I started my weight loss journey in January. I have lost 9 kilos so far. I need to lose 10 more kilos in order to hit my goal weight.

Before I drank a lot of soda with sugar. Am obviously unhealthy habit which I would have liked to cut out completely. Instead, I swapped from soda with sugar to diet soda. So now I am drinking a lot of diet soda which also is not good. I would like to cut it out but I realized that calorie deficit and cutting out is too much. So now I settled to lose weight first and afterwards take care of my soda addiction.

Do you also have such a thing?
