Found a 12core 48Gb ram 2tb SSD with vega pro II for like 1000€, could i stick a 7900xt in and run windows?
Gaming PC rigs aren’t really cheap nowadays.
Also i like macs and had an og chessegrater and kind of think they’re cool, seems like a good excuse, but probably a bad idea?

Tahoe swapping?
I upgraded from M1 Pro 32GB (running Sequoia) to M5 Pro 48GB (shipped with Tahoe) - when doing very similar things, M1 Pro on Sequoia practically never swapped. (i'm more or less CPU bound). Tahoe however swaps a lot even with memory pressure at like 10%.

Tahoe windowserver GPU usage?
I've upgraded from M1 Pro 32GB to M5 Pro 48GB (both 16") and in the same breath from Sequoia to Tahoe - been using the same 4K 21.5" Ultrafine display.
Ive used istat menus since forever and i would've noticed having such high GPU usage when basically idling and doing some stupid light work (30-40% gpu utilization?)
My M1 Pro on Sequoia didn't do more than few % when idling and it's a much worse GPU than the M5 Pro

WD SN850X in an asm2464 enclosure
in my studio i have a "shelf" in the rack that's basically a big cooling fin that i use to put my disks on (no thermal pads or anything, it's just an aluminum cooling fin shelf)
been using it at home for the last two days.
temperature on the shelf is 40-50 degrees, temperature on desk is 55-65 degres.
just thought it's interesting how much of a difference such a simple thing makes.

Someone found an old comment of mine that i have a formal freelancer business, and contacted me via chat if I’m willing to open a revolut account in my name by his referral and go splitsies on the reward which is 800€, but needs it by midnight.
Since people dont usually offer free money randomly, my alarms went off.
Is this a scam?
