Frugal Wins of the Week - Big, Small, and Everything In Between

It’s time to share your frugal wins from the past week.
They don’t need to be impressive. Small wins absolutely count.

Did you:

  • Save a few pounds on your food shop?
  • Avoid buying something you didn’t really need?
  • Use something up instead of replacing it?
  • Cook a cheap, cheerful meal?
  • Cancel, downgrade, or rethink a subscription?

You can also share:

  • A near-miss (something you nearly bought but didn’t)
  • A habit that’s starting to stick
  • A small mistake that taught you something useful

If it made your week a bit cheaper or a bit smarter, it belongs here.

Drop it in the comments and let’s normalise the small victories.

Another RM Query

Apologies but I have searched and couldn’t find the answer.

My buyer selected the Royal Mail Large Letter option, managed to download the shipping label and luckily it’s a small book so should be the right size.

Now what do I do with it? Can I just post in a Postbox or do I need to take to the Post Office?

Thanks

Hey folks, looking for a bit of advice. I’ve been on a bit of a LotR binge sharing the films with my son and rereading the books. As such I have heard a lot about the LCG and have seen some really good reviews. I am really interested in picking it up but before I drop £50+ on the revised core set I wanted to consider what I already have.

I picked up the Arkham Horror Core Set (Not Revised) probably a couple of years ago and haven’t really played it properly. How does this compare with LotR, I get they are different environments but solo gameplay?

Also just been reading about Arkham Chapter 2, is this something I should look into if I wanted to stick with Arkham rather than getting LotR?

Sorry I know it’s kinda vague but I want to get back into solo tabletop gaming and would value some advice. I only play solo as my bf isn’t interested and I have no friends!
