Need urgent help _ i think i am scammed
I was making a booking for accommodation for the Ujjain visit. I used this website https://mahakalbhaktnivasujjain.com/#rooms%20is%20this%20legit%20website.
This guy told me to make a payment worth 6,100. Then he told me i have to send 6000 and 100 separately. Once i make the payment, the previous payment will be auto-refunded by the system. So i made the second payment. (I did ask him to send the pictures of the room before agreeing to book, etc., which he did. owing to which i decided to pay).
But this guy now told me. I have to verify something for which he asked me the mode of payment. In my case it was upi. So he told me the step to verify it. which turned to another payment way. He asked me to put the booking pending status receipt invoice number on the amount place. And that alarmed me. because now the amount would be 31081. so instead of that, I PAID 1 rupee and checked. which got transferred. so i asked him to cancel all my bookings and refund. On which he got angry. and started creating urgency. which felt more suspicious.
I did report the transactions immediately from my internet banking. As well as UPI ID with in no time. I am also trying to call the cybercrime unit. But i feel hopeless right now. I don't know if the money will be recovered.
Any advice any one ???
