I made a pocket notebook!

I’ve been making pocket notebooks for my different hobbies, and the latest one is for keeping track of what I read. It’s called Book Notes, a little play on “notebook.”

It’s standard pocket size (3.5" × 5.375"), 40 pages, small enough to tuck inside whatever book you’re reading as a bookmark. Each entry has room for title, author, pages, who recommended, dates started/finished, rating, and thoughts.

My favorite part is the cover: it’s set like a typeset proof, with proofreader’s marks correcting “Book Log” to “Book Notes.” My earlier cover attempts were too plain, and this one finally felt right for a book about books.

For those of you who keep reading logs, what do you actually write down? Just the basics, or quotes and thoughts too?

Questions on grafting

Once grafted to a rooted stock, does the same 1-2 hour limit of full sun apply? I'd think the peyote would be better able to manage water and avoid sun damage, is that right? Also, my san Pedro is potted with generic cactus soil, i don't need to change anything there, right?

Thank you

Will my batch be okay?

While my 1/3rd strong tea was brewing I went ahead and poured the starter as well as 2/3rds water into the vessel in preparation. Normally I would add the starter after mixing the two so the water temp equalizes, but this time I dumped the hot tea into the pre mixed starter/water.

The temp equalized to 90deg pretty quickly but do you think there's a possibility of the hot tea killing the starter as it was being poured?
