Travis Wilson blatantly violated parade rules by throwing candy and campaign merch onto the street
Edit: Someone linked the rules below:
> 9. Fun at the parade is vital but safety is also! The safety of all attendees and participants is our top priority. Kids can be at risk when receiving candy from the road near moving floats, so please be mindful when distributing candy into crowds. For the safety of everyone involved, grills, open flames, and other fire-producing devices are not permitted on floats. Help us keep the parade safe and enjoyable for everyone.
So it doesn't actually say they can't throw candy, just that they have to be mindful. He was not being mindful at all. At several points, they cut open bags of candy and dumped them on the street.
Parade participants were told not to throw things at people.
(Edit: It seems this was a clarification given to parade participants and not literally written down in the rules.)
Travis Wilson, incumbent rep of district 106, blatantly violated this rule and continued to do it despite being told it was against the rules.
His group created a very long line of litter from the boathouse all the way through main street.
Also, there was literal horse poop in some parts of the street and he didn't care.
Finally, some kids almost got ran over by some floats as they tried to grab the candy that Wilson and his group carelessly threw around.
