Shocks

Hello. I was curious about if anyone else had these shocks that hit from the top of the spine to the bottom of the skull every time someone makes a really loud noise? It's gotten to the point of it hurting constantly, and giving me high anxiety to where I just want to isolate myself from the world. Any thoughts?

Trying to find why I exist.

Hello. I was converted to the Catholic Church just a year ago last Easter, and since then I've been through many trials, and tribulations. Losing jobs, financially struggling, finding a place to be at peace, and just trying to get through each day. It's just become so overwhelming, and draining that I just don't want to interact with the world anymore. Recently it's even been a struggle going to mass without feeling so bad I just want to break down during the service.

Guess what I'm trying to figure out is what the Lord's mission is for me? Like I feel like I'm walking in circles in the dark, and I just feel empty. Like I'm a walking corpse that doesn't have the ability to experience joy. I truly trust in his divine word, and I pray the rosary on occasion. I go to confession, and try my best to not miss mass. So I wonder what I'm doing wrong? It hurts. Like I'm not allowed to be happy for some reason.

I'm scared

Hello. I'm in a very desperate, and scary situation due to having hyperacusis. I was officially diagnosed with the disease the other day, but have been suffering from the symptoms for years thinking I was just too sensitive or it was a symptom of BPD. (Borderline Personality Disorder) and I'm not sure what to do. I keep quitting jobs from being overwhelmed by the slamming of boxes, hands, and people thinking it's funny to harass me over it once they find out it's a problem to me. It's starting to feel like I just can't function properly in society no matter what I try to mask or distract myself from the noise.

I'm constantly being late on bills, I'm putting a lot of it on my brother who's staying with me currently, my fiancé is understanding, and patient with me, but Idk how long her patience would be until she eventually leaves me. I just need to work, have the money for treatments to hopefully get better, and to help take care of her because she's my entire world, and I don't want to lose her due to this. I'm so scared, and I'm starting to feel sick from all the stress, and noise.

Seeking advice for a person who's struggling with noise, and BPD triggers.

Hello. I was diagnosed with BPD around a couple of years ago, and it's been really distressing to try to get help with it. I've been having the symptoms since childhood, and learning more about it has been a bit of a relief. I'm currently working with different psychologists, and trying my best to make life better especially since I'm set to get married in the next couple months.

The only thing I can't seem to do is hold on to a job due to all the noise, and rude people making the noise. I tried ear plugs, headphones, trying to ignore it, and even tried to work with management about it, but to no avail. It's just the way people purposely slam things, hit the table, drop things really hard, and they stomp around, and it makes me get into a fight with them which makes me lose my job or I compulsively quit to get away from them.

It's getting financially difficult to live, and especially since I'm letting another person in my life. I don't want to lose her by self sabotage, or getting angry, or trying to control her because of what my brain tries to say instead of what the reality is. She means everything to me, and she's very patient, understanding, kind, and supportive of me. But I feel like it's all going to fall apart if I can't hold down a job, and make money to help build that healthy relationship with her.

There's times I actively fantasize about going deaf completely due to the struggle of wanting to get away from all the constant noise, but I can't put myself up for it cause I will be hurting my fiancé as well as myself. I'm running out of options.

Tl'dr: Trying to build a healthy relationship, but can't keep a job due to excessive noise, as well as be financially independent, and it makes me want to lose my hearing to hopefully make things better.

Returning player interested in Genesys from almost 10 years of absence.

I've been looking into the format for a while when it was released. Cause I couldn't keep up with the modern tcg with how complicated it was, and the idea of people pretty much playing solitaire half the time kinda burnt me out of the game. So I was curious how different things are with the new point system instead of the forbidden/limited list, and how fun playing my older decks would be like Photon/Galaxy, Cyber Dragon, Six Samurai, and Blue Eyes.
