Could you effectively train a kid without hard sparring to eventually become a elite level striker?

Thought experiment.

Let's imagine a kid that could train with you until 16 years old, no hard sparring, only touch, point, light and other methods.

After those years, at 17-19 yo, how good he would become in 2 years of hard sparring? Could he shorten the gap to elite with good focused training?

How would you approach his training? (Forget about kids having fun, their willingness etc.)

I'm very interested in your opinions

ALSO: No, I don't have kids. No, I'm not planning to do this in the future.

Striking guideline?

I'm a grappler. When standing up, I know which arm I can use and which I can't, I know which side I can move and which I can't. Both for open and closed stance. (For example: not reaching with the lead hand, circle to their lead side...)

I have some general basic rules that work all the time

What's the equivalent in striking arts?

Options FROM the wall

Hi!

I've been teaching overhook this month in the grappling class and I just taught the overhook's wall wrestling application.

We've been getting to a split squat type of position and going for uchi mata or harai goshi depending on their leg in front.

We've also done the over under switch where we switch positions (180°)

I've been wondering is there anything else that can be done FROM the wall?

Apart from stuffing the takedown.

Thanks!

MMA striking vs pure striking arts

I'm trying to learn striking for MMA purpose.

The problem is that I'm having a hard time applying to MMA.

I always try to in and out in MMA, being in range when I want and combine it with takedowns. I'm told not to do that in muay thai, that I should remain in range.

Also, when I'm boxing I'm told to keep the shell and stay there when punches are thrown while I'm supposed to avoid it altogether with 4 oz.

How can I approach boxing and muay thai practice that would be benefitial to my growth in MMA sparring?

Thank you very much

Getting past the head in the claw choke / no gi ezekiel from mount

This

I want to close the arms but I'm not able to go past the head, it's in my way.

If loose the grip I don't get the choke it's too shallow.

Any tips or are my arms too bulky and short?

Hi, I'm a long time judoka. I've trained with a wrestler that whenever I got the cross collar grip in RvR he changed stance (Lefty) How could I get advantage of it? Sukui nage?

EDIT: Thanks everybody
