Why does the power always go out?!?

I moved from the west coast a few months ago. I have never lost power so much in the 40 years I’ve lived on the west coast. It’s getting to be extremely annoying!! I live on lake Wylie if that changes anything. Really though…..wtf?

Basset hound throwing up

5 year old female basset hound.
Fixed.
52 lbs.
CA.

We took her to the vet after a night of vomiting around 5 times. They took an x-ray and did bloodwork. No foreign body and nothing back on bloodwork. She was put on a bland diet and did not vomit for a few days and seemed back to normal. Last night she started vomiting again. We are waiting to hear back from the vet but it’s also a Saturday. This is my mom’s dog (I got this dog for her when she lost my dad and their basset hound within 9 months of each other so she is her world. I’m stressing out. She can’t lose her)

She’s drinking water but has stopped eating since last night and goes and throws up bile in the same place. What could cause such an upset Gi tract? Is she continuously getting into something? Why would the vomiting stop for 4 days and then start again? Are there any tests or things we should do?! Just looking for other opinions. Thank you so so much in advance.

ETA: found the culprit!!! Had my mom take pictures of the plants in her backyard. She’s chewed on Oleander 😭
