Needing to rehome

This is Franky, he’s an 8 year old Australian Shepherd and unfortunately we need to find him a new home (if you wanna hate go ahead, but I’m looking for genuine advice)

We adopted him about 3 weeks ago and it’s been a rough time. I did do my research on the breed before adopting him and continue to learn new information, but nothing prepared me for this. I thought we were doing all the right things, we take two 15-30 min walks/runs, we do mental enrichment activities, we have 5-10 minute training sessions everyday.

The main reason I feel like it’s best to rehome him is because of our 2 year old daughter, she’s in a stage where she doesn’t understand or doesn’t care about boundaries. He tries to have patience, but there has been a couple instances where he has pounced and bit her (not hard, mainly nips) I feel like he needs much more than what we can realistically provide him, he’s great, super sweet, and a super smart dog. I just feel like there must be someone out there who would love him and will have a much better environment for him.

Any advice is welcome, we just really need help!

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention, he is super possessive over me, I think that’s what it is. He doesn’t like my daughter or husband hugging/kissing me, he will either get in the way or nip at them. It’s definitely a struggle when I try to change my daughter’s diaper or dress her anything that requires me holding her for more than 5 seconds.

Should I get a divorce?

Long post and don’t even know where to start…

My husband (23M) and I (24F) have been married for 3 years and lately I’ve just been feeling like it’s time to part ways.

First, I feel like everything moved too fast. When we first met I was in college and honestly just having fun. Two weeks into meeting each other “he knew he wanted to marry me” and in the beginning I thought it was cute, he was sweet, and very different from the guys I had dated. But thinking about it now, maybe that should’ve been a red flag. We became official 2 months into meeting and got married like 6 months after that. To give you a better timeline we first met November 2022 and got married July 2023.

He proposed in a not so ideal way. We went to a baseball game (I don’t even like baseball) and just got down on his knee on our walk back to the car (call me ungrateful, but I imagined my proposal wayyy different than what I was given)

We got married, moved in together and that’s when the arguments started. HORRIBLE, nasty arguments. That we still have to this day pretty frequently, like 3+ times a week. I started to notice so many things as soon as we started living together 1. He doesn’t know anything! My parents taught to be independent so I knew how to do “real life” things at a pretty young age and he just didn’t know anything about anything (and he’s horrible with money management, one of the biggest reasons for our arguments) 2. He can’t be sober for one day to save his life! If it’s not weed, it’s alcohol, but he can’t just go one day without it. I grew up with an alcoholic father and never wanted the life my mother had and honestly it’s starting to become that. Whenever I try to express anything to him, he gets so defensive and try’s to find ways to turn it in me.

I think my thoughts of divorce really came when I found out he was cheating. I honestly never thought he would be capable and that’s what hurt me the most. For better context he has texted about 3 different girls (that im aware of) over the timeframe of May 2025-February 2026. He says he’s never done anything physical, but I genuinely don’t believe him as many times as he’s lied to me over these past 3 years.

I truly do love him so much and care for him, I think that’s the biggest reason I’ve been holding on for so long (and our 2 year old daughter) and don’t get me wrong he can be a good guy and he is pretty helpful. I just never imagined my marriage to be like this. I understand marriage isn’t peaches and cream, but I don’t even feel like we’re friends. It has never felt like we’re friends, It just feels like we’re two people coexisting and I just wish he could be my best friend. We rarely go on dates, we’ve never been on a vacation. I just feel like we’re not living our best lives, and i genuinely do believe it goes both ways even though he tells me he wants to be with me and “if I wanted to leave, I would have already” I think he’s had similar thoughts too.

Anyway! If you made it this far, thanks for reading, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Am I crazy or do you see it too??

Alright everyone, backstory… this is a $1.50 pregnancy test, so not sure how reliable it is. I’m hoping I’m just psyching myself out like always. But I do see a second line there.
Side note: I have super irregular periods so not sure when I ovulate or even if I ovulate. I did get pregnant with my daughter while having irregular periods so this could be a big possibility??
