Blue iris a good fit for a small healthcare site that has about 30 cameras?

Our very old camera server recently died. It was running Geovisions software. DMM multiview? I don't remember exactly but it was horrible. We do not have a large budget so something like blue iris is very tempting. The cameras are older Geovision cameras. Nothing fancy but as they fail over time we might upgrade them.

The server will be running on a Dell R440 with 64GB RAM. I have a synology at the site with a rather large datastore so storage is not an issue.

Is BI something you would consider or maybe go in another direction?

New Camry or used? 44k for a 2026?

I recently reached out to a local dealer and the price they came back with on a new camry XSE was a bit shocking.

Is what they quoted a fair price for a 2026 or should I look somewhere else?
In the past I've purchased through carvana and the experience was pretty good. I'm thinking about going used. lol

Flash LG WP50NB40 to read UHD?

I just bought this but it looks like I have to flash it before it can read the 4k disc. Is it easier to do on Mac or linux? It was manufactured on March 2026 NB52. This can be flashed, right?

Thinking about getting the HF credit card and using the first purchase (10% off) to grab the vulan 220 while it's on sale. Would that work?

What drive would you guys recommend today?

I went to BestBuy today to grab an LG. They were sold out like they are everywhere I'm sure.

What external drive would you guys recommend today? I'd like to spend less than $200 if possible.

Help finding a tripod for a gen 2/3 standard dish?

Hey everyone,

I inherited a starlink setup. It looks like it's a gen 2 maybe a gen 3 standard dish. The back is completely flat. There are four bolts. One in each corner...

Is there a tripod setup that will fit this dish? Everything I'm finding is meant for a dish that has a slot in the middle of the dish.

Someone posted a free telescope on Facebook saying if you can fix the optics, it's yours. I enjoy fixing things so I messaged them immediately.

I know close to nothing about telescopes but I do know they have glass inside of them. I asked if the optics were shattered or broken and they said no. Apparently a relative decided to unscrew the adjustment knobs at the end and the mirror fell in. It looks like they reached in and tried to pull it back up. I think that is all they tried.

I removed the 4 screws to remove the end cap and I was able to get the mirror, springs and washers out. I believe I have the mirror assembly back to its original. It's dirty though.

What is the best way to clean this mirror? It's hard to get a decent picture. I don't see any scratches. You can see the fingerprints around the edges.

Is it easy enough to collimate this thing?

Before those is this still a decent telescope that is worth putting in the time? I have 2 children (15 & 10) I thought they might enjoy it.
