One of my mystery snails has a "scar" growing along its shell. The scar started shortly after I got him, I'm guessing from an injury of some kind, and has remained a part of all of his new shell growth. He's growing and active and seems healthy, but I'm not sure if there's something I need to do for him or if this will cause problems down the road?
According to my kids, "He farted so everyone else tried to get far away!" 💨 But I'm curious what other theories people might have? 😂
I plan to get between 8-10 glo danios for my 20 gallon long that is currently housing mystery snails, so I was planning to quarantine, but I wanted to do another temporary set up on the cheap. I have an 8-gallon plastic tub, could I house 8-10 danios in there for about a month with a sponge filter? Or should I shell out for a bigger tub?
TLDR: What's the general opinion on corsets for mando cosplay?
I will preface this by saying that my reasoning is 98% vanity. 😅
I don't have a ton of body shame but between a twin pregnancy with a couple of 7-pounders and a ton of subsequent weight loss, I have a lot of extra skin around my middle and therefore no real waist. The only thing that effectively gives me a waist is a corset to squish all of my skin into where I want it. As such, I usually wear corsets when I want to dress up and look nice, or for cosplay.
My kids and I are all going as Mandalorians for Halloween and for the local comic con this year. We're all designing our own armor and it's going to be a fantastic, brightly colored clan! My armor is going to be modeled after a tribute to Ahsoka from Clone Wars season 7. I have a navy blue corset that would match the flight suit coloring perfectly, but I'm wondering if it would look totally out of place and ruin the costume? The corset would be under the armor but on top of the matching flight suit, so not a focal point but still visible.
I do have corsets that I can wear under clothing too, but I find them less comfortable, and especially if I'm going to be wearing it for hours or days it's not my first choice.
I have five mystery snails that I've only had for a few days. My question is how to ensure that they all get fed? I read that any uneaten food should be removed after 2-3 hours, and I have a dish for easy removal, but so far during feedings the only snails that have eaten during that time are one that has taken up residence nearly inside the food dish, and one who lucked out when a pellet accidentally floated into its hide. The rest just stay in their hides and don't eat while the food is available. Should I just trust them to find the food when they're hungry, or should I place the shy ones near the food during feedings?
Apologies if this has been pointed out before, but I've seen a few "Did Grace think he would die by saving Rocky?" discussions, and I just wanted to point out what to me is the clearest indicator that yes, Grace expected to die for Rocky and narratively we should have all expected it too.
Right after the scenes with Stratt and the Taumeba farm, we get this shot of Grace with a sheet fully covering his face, the way bodies are covered in death. It lasts for about a second, and then the alarm goes off and Grace whips the sheet off his face and hops out of bed, very much alive, and gets ready for his day while happy music plays. This is a visual "gotcha" moment for the audience. We're supposed to briefly think that Grace died of starvation as was alluded to in the dialogue. So even though it was never specifically stated, and Grace never said, "I'll die if I go save Rocky," he knew and the audience was also expected to make that same connection for the "gotcha" moment to work and have the emotional payout as intended.
