Pet Peeve…those who cannot see both sides.

As a Libra, nothing irritates me more than those who are super opinionated and unwilling to listen or see things from another point of view. It’s so common in our day, particularly with politics.

I can be very opinionated about certain things, but I’m always willing to listen and ask questions about others’ views.

I can’t stand it when people make assumptions, don’t know how to actively listen, or put you in a box because you don’t subscribe to their particular beliefs.

It’s shocking to me how little respect is shown to others these days, and yet it’s all justified because there’s an “us” and a “them” and people are unwilling to accept that people have different beliefs.

I also can’t stand when people criticize you for “not taking a side”. Maybe I can see both sides, or I can at least acknowledge that an issue is complex and there are good points on both sides. Not everything has to be an all out war where everyone has to “pick a side”.

Okay, rant over ✨

Political Climate?

Hi all, my husband and I are thinking of moving to Greensboro and have seen different things about the political climate.

We are moderate but lean slightly conservative. We are kind, respectful, and have lived in quite liberal places as well as fairly conservative places. We are simply looking for something that is pretty moderate, where people are respectful and don’t shove political beliefs on others.

Can you give me an idea of what it’s like in Greensboro and the county in general as well?

Thanks in advance!
