functional benefic - vargottama debilitated,
functional malefic - vargottama exalted(own sign)
talking about in d1 and d9. can native rely on any of these two?
I know other things like houses, aspects, cojunctions matter too, but isolatinng them for now.
for example sun being functional benefic, and mercury being malefic.

sorry if you see me posting a lot here, I am a bit occupied to go into books so this sub and some detailed posts made by what seem like knowledgable people are the only source I am relying on for now. 😭
and I haven't been able to get answers to my questions so I thought of digging myself from the basics.

so mostly I see right now are posts about how cancer ascendents with a good jupiter getting great things in life. one of the main reasons is jupiter being exalted in cancer. I want to know about signs where no planet is exalted for example scorpio, can they ever have a great time like cancer ones right now?
I know it all depends on other factors, like how transiting planet contributes to that sign etc etc. but sticking to ascendents case for now.
I would honestly love a deeper discussion on this and surrounding topics.
