Wondering what my dad is up to today?

Just wanted to rant today. Missing my dad a lot today. I know this sounds crazy but my mind just goes into thinking what he is up to today. Is he hanging out with his parents? Is he finally having time to focus on his dreams of writing?

I just hope wherever he is he is happy and doing things he couldn’t do for himself on Earth.

I also want him to know how much we are missing him. Everyday here on Earth is miserable without him.

I need someone to give me hope that I will see my dad again

I’m having a really difficult day today. I miss my dad so much that I don’t even know how to put it into words.

I keep thinking about the possibility that this is really it. That he is gone and I will never see him again and I honestly cannot accept that. I don’t want our relationship to have ended. I don’t want him to just be a memory.

I want to believe there is something after this life. I want to believe that somewhere, somehow, I will see my dad again. That I will recognize him. That he will recognize me. That I’ll still be his daughter.

And honestly, I want to be his daughter in every life.
I don’t care what form it takes or what the afterlife looks like. I just want *him*. I want the dad I remember. His voice, his laugh, his presence, his way of being there for me. I want to be able to hug him again and somehow know, without any doubt, that he is my dad and I am his daughter.

If you believe in reincarnation, an afterlife, soul families, signs from loved ones, near-death experiences, or anything else that has given you hope that we continue to exist and that our loved ones are still connected to us, **please tell me about it.**

I’m not asking anyone to prove anything to me. I think I just desperately need some hope today.
I need to know that loving someone this deeply doesn’t mean that losing them is the end of the relationship.

I want my dad to know how much I miss him. I miss him **so, so, so much.** I miss him every day. There are moments when I want to tell him something, or I need him, and then I remember that I can’t just call him anymore. And it hurts in a way I don’t know how to explain.

If there really is an afterlife, I hope he knows.
I hope somehow he can feel how much his daughter loves him.

And more than anything, I hope that one day, somewhere beyond this life, I get to see my dad again.

I just really need someone to give me hope that I will.

Why did my dad’s soul contract have to end when we need him the most?

I’ve been thinking about this so much lately, and I honestly don’t know where else to put these thoughts.

Why did my dad’s soul have to leave when we still need him so badly?

My sister just had her mastectomy, and all I could think about was how my dad would have been there. 100%. He was always there for us. It didn’t matter if it was something small or something life-changing. If we needed him, he was there.

This is such a huge moment in our lives, and it hurts so much knowing he isn’t physically here for it.
I keep wondering if there really is such a thing as a soul contract. If there is, why did his have to end now? Why couldn’t he have stayed a little longer? Why couldn’t he have been here for this? We still have so many things we need him for.

Today, I actually felt his presence for a moment. I don’t know if it was really him. Maybe it was my grief, maybe it was my mind desperately wanting him to be here. I honestly don’t know. But it felt comforting.

And right before my sister left for her surgery, I looked at the clock and it was **11:11**.

I know some people believe 11:11 can be a sign or a message from someone who has passed. I don’t know if that’s what it was, but I really, really hope it was. I want to believe my dad was somehow with us and letting us know he was there.

I miss my dad every single day. I miss having him here for the big things, but even more, I miss knowing I could call him for the little things.
I hope he was with us today. I hope he saw my sister being so strong. I hope he’s looking down on us and is proud of all of us.

We got through another huge milestone without him physically here, but I wish more than anything that he could have been here.

I don’t know how to live in this version of my life

I feel numb. Sometimes I feel completely emotionless. Even simple things feel meaningless, and I find myself wondering, what’s the point?

My dad is on my mind every single day. Most of my day is consumed by thoughts of him and by comparing myself to people who still have both of their parents. That used to be me. I was someone who had both my mom and dad.

I hate this version of my life without him. But I have to keep going for my daughter, my sisters, and my mom. At the same time, I feel like I have to step into my dad’s role now that he’s gone, and that responsibility feels overwhelming.

My heart is completely broken. I miss my dad so much. I still can’t believe I won’t see him again in this lifetime. My mind just can’t process it.

More than anything, I wish he knew how deeply he’s missed. How much we still need him. How much he means to all of us.

I know my dad worked so hard to build a good life for our family, and I don’t want that to go to waste. I want to honor everything he gave us. But right now, I’m just so hurt.

He was only in his 60s. That feels far too young. It wasn’t enough time, and I don’t know how to accept that.

Looking for comfort and someone to relate to. I just hate going through this grief journey 💔

If our loved ones are truly at peace, do they still miss us?

I’ve been reading a lot about NDEs and the afterlife lately, and one thing I see over and over is that our loved ones are “at peace.”

I want to believe that. I really do. But something I struggle with is this: how can they be completely at peace when they had to leave the people they loved behind?

My dad passed away three months ago, and he was incredibly close to my 3-year-old daughter. He absolutely adored her. It’s hard for me to imagine him being at peace if he can’t watch her grow up, play with her, or be part of her life anymore.

We’re also a very close family. He loved all of us deeply, and I can’t imagine him not missing us. At the same time, I know he must have missed his own parents after they passed, so maybe they’re together now. But surely he would still miss us too?

For those of you who believe in the afterlife or have studied NDEs, how do you make sense of this? Can our loved ones be at peace and still miss us? Or does their perspective somehow change after they pass?

I’m genuinely curious because this is something I’ve been struggling to understand since losing my dad. I would love to hear your thoughts or if you’ve come across any NDEs or spiritual teachings that speak to this.

Why did my dad have to leave?

Why did my dad have to die at the worst possible time for our family?

My sister is battling breast cancer, and from the very beginning my dad was her biggest supporter. He was there for every appointment, every update, every hard day. Then, halfway through her chemotherapy, he had a sudden heart attack and was gone.

We were already trying to cope with my sister’s cancer diagnosis. Losing my dad on top of that has completely shattered us. It feels so cruel and unfair. I keep asking myself, why now? Why him? Why did this have to happen when our family was already carrying so much?

I know people say everything happens for a reason, but I just can’t see one. I need answers. From a spiritual perspective why did this happen? Why did he go?

Any STEM people who started believing in spirituality after losing someone?

I’ve always been a STEM person. I’ve always believed in science, evidence, and things that can be explained. I was never really into spirituality because I always felt there had to be proof.

My dad passed away 3 months ago, and ever since then, I’ve found myself wanting to believe there’s more. I want to believe he’s still around in some way, that he’s okay, that he knows how much we love and miss him.

I read so many posts where people talk about getting really specific signs from their loved ones, and I honestly wonder why that doesn’t happen to me. The only things I really notice are butterflies and dragonflies, but then I immediately think, “Am I just noticing them more because I’m grieving?” It makes me question everything.

If you’re someone who has a STEM background or always considered yourself skeptical, what made you start believing in spirituality or an afterlife? Was there something that happened that you genuinely couldn’t explain? Did it happen right away, or did it take time?

I think I’m just looking for hope. I miss my dad so much. I want to believe he’s at peace, that he’s happy wherever he is, and that he somehow knows how deeply he’s loved and missed by all of us. I hope he’s still watching over us, even if I can’t see it.

I’d really love to hear your stories.

Where do our loved ones go after they die? What do you believe?

My dad passed away a few months ago, and ever since then I’ve found myself thinking about the afterlife almost every day.

I know no one has a definitive answer, but I’m genuinely curious about what others believe or have experienced.

Where do you think our loved ones go after they die? Are they still here with us in some way, or do they move on to another realm, dimension, or even somewhere else in the universe? Are spirits connected to Earth, or could they exist somewhere beyond what we can see?

How do they connect with us? Through dreams, signs, intuition, or something else? If they’ve reincarnated, can they still be aware of us?

I’d really love to hear your beliefs, personal experiences, or anything that has brought you comfort. I’m open to different perspectives and just trying to make sense of something that’s been on my mind a lot lately.

What is my dad doing now?

Sometimes I wonder what my dad is doing now in the other side. My dad passed away 3 months ago. Where is he now? What is he up to? Can he see us? Does he know how much we miss him?

If our loved ones reincarnate, how are people still able to connect with them in the afterlife?

Many people say they’ve connected with loved ones who have passed through dreams, signs, or mediums. But if we believe in reincarnation, how is that possible if the person has already been reborn?

Does reincarnation happen right away, or does it take years? Is it possible for someone to still be in the spirit world before reincarnating?

I’d love to hear your thoughts or beliefs on how this works. I’m just curious and trying to understand the different perspectives.

Tomorrow marks 3 months without my dad..

Tomorrow marks three months since my dad passed away. I honestly can’t believe how fast those three months have gone by. He died on Sunday, April 26, and every Sunday has been difficult since then. Somehow the fact that the 26th falls on a Sunday this month makes it even harder.

My husband, daughter, and I have a full day planned tomorrow. Part of me feels guilty for wanting the distraction, but another part of me knows I need it. Even if we’re out having fun, I know my mind will keep drifting back to my dad… and to my mom and sisters at home.

This year has been unbelievably hard. We lost my dad, my sister has been battling breast cancer and has surgery coming up next month, and we’re trying to figure out the mortgage and everything else that comes with my parents’ house. It feels like there’s always another problem to solve. As the eldest daughter, I feel like I have to help hold everything together, but if I’m being honest, I’m completely burnt out.

I miss my dad so much.

He was the person who always knew what to do. Whenever something went wrong, he’d have a plan and somehow make us believe everything would be okay. He was always encouraging us every step of the way. Now we’re trying to figure everything out without him, and life just… sucks.

I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that I’ll never see him again in this lifetime. I started crying just typing that sentence.

More than anything, I just hope he’s okay wherever he is. I hope he’s at peace. I hope he’s watching over us, and I hope he’s proud of how hard we’ve been trying to keep going despite everything.

Today my three-year-old daughter asked me when her grandpa was coming back and why it was taking him so long. That absolutely broke me. She’s old enough to remember him and young enough not to understand why he isn’t here anymore.

I don’t really know what I’m looking for by posting this. I just needed somewhere to let these feelings out.

I just really miss my dad 💔

How do you cope when the person you least expected to lose is gone?

It’s been three months since I lost my dad to a sudden heart attack, and I guess I just needed to get this off my chest.

Some days I feel like I’m doing better. I’m back at work and functioning again, which felt impossible a couple of months ago. But the moment I start talking about my dad, I completely fall apart.

He was the kindest, most caring person. He loved my mom, my sisters, me, and especially my daughter. He was always happy, active, and the person I thought would always be there. I knew my parents were getting older, but if I had to imagine losing one of them, it never would have been my dad. Out of everyone, he seemed like the least likely person to leave us so soon, and I still can’t process that he’s gone.

One of my biggest regrets is that I didn’t talk to him that day. When my mom told me he was going to the hospital, I truly believed he would be okay. So many people I know have had angioplasties and recovered, and my mom had one herself years ago. I never imagined that would be the last day of his life.

Something that’s been weighing on me lately is watching my daughter grow up without him. She still talks about her Grandpa sometimes, but I can see her becoming more attached to my husband’s parents now. I’m grateful she has loving grandparents in her life, but it breaks my heart because she used to be so attached to my parents, especially my dad. It feels like she’s slowly forgetting him, and that hurts more than I can explain.

I also find myself feeling jealous of people who still have both of their parents. My husband still has his. My cousins still have theirs. I know everyone experiences loss eventually, but I never imagined that my dad would be the first one to go. Sometimes it feels so unfair, and then I feel guilty for even thinking that way.

I miss the life we had before all of this. I miss hearing his voice, his laugh, his advice, and just knowing he was there. It feels like our family is broken now, and I still have moments where I can’t accept that this is my reality.

If you have lost a parent unexpectedly, especially when it felt like they were the last person you ever thought you’d lose, how did you cope with that? Did you ever stop comparing your life to people who still have their parents? I feel really alone in these feelings, and I’d love to hear from anyone who understands.

Am I actually receiving signs from my dad, or am I just noticing things more?

Hi everyone,

I’d love your thoughts on something.

Since my dad passed away, I’ve been seeing things that remind me of him like butterflies, robins, and squirrels (he loved squirrels). I also asked for specific signs, like orange, lime green, or purple cars and then saw those too.

I’m trying to figure out whether these are really signs from him or if I’m just more alert because I’m looking for them. Is there any way to tell?

I’m also curious how people believe loved ones send signs after they pass. If you think they do, how do you think it works?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Thank you ❤️

My sister finished chemo today. Wish my dad was here

My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer back in February, and it’s been one of the hardest years our family has ever faced. Every treatment, every appointment, every bit of uncertainty has taken its toll.

My dad was by her side from the very beginning. Halfway through her chemotherapy, he unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack.

Today she rang the bell to mark the end of her treatment. Before she did, she gave a beautiful speech about our dad. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

She’s come so far. She’s stronger than ever, and I’m incredibly proud of her. But today also felt incomplete. We all wished Dad could have been there to see this moment.

Dad, I miss you so much. I hope, somehow, you got to see her ring that bell. I hope you know how much you mean to us and how deeply you’re missed every single day.

She did it for you ❤️

Asked for a sign and didn’t receive it

My father passed away 2 months ago and I’ve been asking for signs. There are some signs I receive but sometimes I don’t get them. For example, I asked for a “blue ball” a few days ago and have not seen one yet. I have been asking him to show me it everyday. Wondering why.. do you believe in signs from loved ones who passed?

What are your thoughts of life after death?

2 months ago my 64 yo dad passed away suddenly from a heart attack. I’m now obsessed with figuring out where he is now or if there is even a thing called “afterlife”.

What are your thoughts? Do you get any signs from your loved ones? I kind of want to try a psychic medium but not sure if those are scams or believable.

Trying to survive without my dad..

Posting this as a place to vent and to seek emotional support to get through each day.

Two months ago on April 26th, 2026 was the worst day of my life. My dad passed away suddenly from a heart attack. He was only 64 years old. He showed no signs of symptoms until the day of where he felt chest pain and you know how the story goes from there..I am still in denial.

My dad is the most active person in my life. He’s always up and running and doing something. Whether it is gardening, fixing something in the house, grocery shopping, etc. This man is always on his feet. Since I was little his number one priority was to put his family first and he accomplished that. His unconditional love for his family makes this passing really hard. I love my dad deeply and he’s the person in my life I always go to for life advice and navigation. I’m a 33 year old married female, with a family of my own. But even then, he always drops everything to be there for me and my 3 year old daughter.

What makes this loss hard is losing the relationship I once had with my dad and not getting to see him, hear his voice, or even making new memories with him. He was supposed to retire this year and was shy a few months. All he ever wanted was to retire and finally have time for himself. It breaks my heart the he dedicated his whole life for others and his family but didn’t have time for himself.

One thing is I know he knew he had a family who loved him and was also gifted with a granddaughter who also loved him deeply.

My dad shouldn’t have left that day. I’m crying while I write this and I really don’t know how to move forward in life without him. I have no purpose in life now. The person who brings me joy and unconditional love is no longer here.. what is the point?
