I have pretty good health coverage, but it only applies to Kaiser permanente, so I have the opportunity to get TMS almost completely covered if I go through them. I already have the referral and I’m starting intake soon, but I understand that experiences can be very difficult between clinics. Has anyone gotten theirs at a Kaiser clinic? If so, how did it go? Any issues with the procedure or are they fairly trustworthy?

My mother was scheduled for a tonsillectomy at 2:30 today. I dropped her off on schedule and she was taken back to prep, and I was told she’d be ready for pickup in 2-4 hours. Then I get at call around 3 hours later from her saying she hasn’t gone into surgery yet and she doesn’t know if it’s even happening today. When I called the department they confirmed that she’s still waiting and they have no ETA. Is this normal? It’s almost 7 now and I haven’t heard anything. She’s really nervous for this and hasn’t eaten since yesterday, if she’s not going in I want to pick her up or get her something to eat, does anyone have experience with this?
