Hindustani classical music baithaks/jams in BLR?

Hi musicians of Bengaluru!

I was wondering if there are any casual jamming sessions centered around Hindustani classical music. Most of the music meetups I come across seem to be Bollywood, Sufi, or Western jams.

I've been learning music since I was 6 (26 now 😅). I started with keyboard and eventually picked up Spanish guitar, acoustic guitar, flute, ukulele, and a few other instruments. I took a long break around 10th grade, but I've recently started learning Hindustani vocals again.

One thing that's always motivated me is listening to and singing with other musicians. I'd love to find a space where people get together with a tabla, harmonium, tanpura, and just spend an evening doing riyaaz, bandishes, bhajans, or semi-classical music, nothing too formal, just people who enjoy making music together.

I've recently moved to Bengaluru and am slowly putting together my own music corner. My dream is to eventually host evenings like this myself, but until then I'd love to know if something similar already exists.

Would really appreciate any leads. Thanks!

Help me decorate my bedroom!

This is what the room previously looked like

This is it now

I have just moved into this beautiful master bedroom with a lot of ventilation and one full wall of cupboards. Looking for ideas to transform this space so it feels like home.
Also note: There is not much space between the bed and the window. It looks spacious because I have temporarily put a queen mattress on a king bed.

A few ideas I have, let me know if I should go ahead with any:

  1. 3 big frames above the bed
  2. 1 horizontal big frame
  3. A big boho wall hanging
  4. Plants ofc (I am thinking either side of bed maybe?)
  5. A floor lamp for sure

I will also be asking for help with my desk section and my balcony. But one step at a time!
