3 expensive hobbies to keep the mind sane

Been into photography and headphone hobbies for some years and now I'm may add the mechanical keyboards to the expensive hobby list lol

My first mechanical keyboard in a while (Epomaker Galaxy100 Lite). IEMs are LZ AX and Moondrop Meteor if anyone is interested.

Last time I actually looked into keyboards, budget options (at least the ones I saw) were.... not great sounding to say the least. But now I'm surprised they sound pretty good out of the box so I'm curious to see what kind of mods people suggest for them. For now I'll probably search for some switches to try out.

LZ AX - Because buying unknown stuff is fun too

Just an unknown (ig? never saw anyone talking about them) and not hyped 1DD+4BA+2EST+2 Piezoelectric Drivers. Apparently only 100 units were made

It sounds pretty damn good. At least from my first impressions (Golden nozzle and switch off):

Bass is pretty balanced, enough presence to be fun without being boring and it does not invade the midrange. The subbass, while not lacking, doesn't have the same rumble like my Moondrop Meteor. It's very textured tho which I appreciate a lot. Still comparing the AX to the Meteor, it sounds fuller than the Meteors due to more lower midrange and midbass.

The mids sound very natural too me, without being too shouty or lacking. Depending on the nozzle it does change very drastically. Currently I'm using the Golden nozzle. I also like the black nozzle which increases the pinna gain region which is something I don't mind. At least for now, vocals doesn't sound as forward as the Meteors.

Treble is also pretty damn good. On my test track, it sounds pretty smooth and not sibilant, thankfully. Good amount and quality, I would say.

Comfort itself is good but the fit is weird to me. Not uncomfortable per se but I did struggle to get an somewhat equal fit on both of my ears. For now I settled on the HE Galaxy, M size on right ear and L size on left ear.
