Citizen Super Titanium is a true source of confusion ! “Super Titanium” is the name Citizen uses for most of its titanium models, but not all of its titanium models have the same scratch resistance. Lower cost models generally have scratch resistance at levels comparable to grade 5 titanium.

What I want to tell the Bulova CEO as a watch enthusiast and Bulova fan:
#1: Make more watches with the Precisionist movement.
#2: Integrate the Eco-Drive of your parent company with the Precisionist movement.
#3: Stop using Precision movements in chronographs. No one cares. The attractive feature of the Precisionist movement is less the accuracy and more the smooth center seconds hand.
#4: Upgrade your calibers from the Miyota series 8 to series 9. Series 8 is what the kids today call “sus” and harms the value proposition.
#5: There is increased interest in hardened watch cases and bracelets. Please offer steel with case hardening or grade 5 titanium. If you want to go really niche, offer grade 2 titanium with hardening. Again, your parent company has this technology (Duratect) readily available.
#6: Lean into the Bulova US military history and connection to the Veterans Watch Institute. There are around 18 million US veterans, and then count up the proud spouses, children, and grandchildren. That’s a large market you’re not targeting.
