Howdy.

I have been attending community college since I got out the military last October.

I been taking remedial courses like Algebra 1 and I’m currently taking intermediate Algebra right now during this summer semester. This class is a step below Pre Calculus.

My goal is try place into Calculus 1 this fall semester. I wanna start the Calculus sequence soon because I really want to start the ball rolling on transferring to bigger school.

I wanna do the stem route and as long I don’t have the math college proficiency. I can’t do any the hard requirements for any major I’m interested in.

What do yall recommend something like Kahn academy?

I’m Mexican American here. I’m visiting CDMX this weekend. I was able to get ticket to Mexico vs England game. Which the main thing I’m visiting.

But I really want to visit the Castle while I’m there. I will be there with some family, but they don’t seem interested going there unfortunately. So I plan go by myself when I land at the airport.

My worry is that I won’t be allowed to enter the museum with my carry on. I only plan to bring a book bag for my trip. Is there place where maybe I can store my valuables safely so I can go in?

Soy mexicoamericano. Creciendo, escuché mucho sobre las atrocidades cometidas por Los Zetas y lo brutales que eran.

Por lo que entiendo, Felipe Calderón inició la guerra contra el narco en parte porque el crimen organizado se estaba volviendo muy poderoso, violento y estaba desafiando abiertamente al Estado. También parece que había bastante presión de United States para tomar una postura más agresiva contra los cárteles.

Lo que me confunde es que mucha gente dice que la estrategia de Calderón empeoró la violencia, pero al mismo tiempo también veo críticas hacia Sheinbaum por no hacer lo suficiente contra los cárteles.

Entonces, ¿dónde está el punto medio? ¿Qué tipo de estrategia de seguridad quiere ver la gente en México, o gran parte de esto es simplemente debate político?

Just curious if any of y’all have used your benefits or any training programs to learn a trade, even if you had no plans to make it a career.

I’m talking about stuff like auto repair, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, things like that.

Not really looking for a career change. I’m more interested in learning useful skills, saving money, working on my own stuff, and just being more self-sufficient.

I have been separated from the military for 6 months. And I have been attending community college since my separation. I have largely done well raising my GPA to a 3.4

I do very well in the Gen Eds/Humanities courses. But I wanna go down the Math or CS track or double major. I still haven’t decided yet.

I’m currently doing remedial math class and Depending on how well I do in this summer class. It can gain me entry to Pre Calculus.

So my question is how do y’all crush or do well in your harder math or stem classes?
