Every night my resident Quenda visits.

They love the chicken coop, they dig up a lot of bugs in the run.
I'm in a country town 1.5 hours from Perth central.
I was outside one day & heard a noise behind me, I turned thinking it was the chooks but instead this little fella stared at me for a good 20 seconds then ducked under the fence.

Everyone has the junk drawer, what odd, forgotten, curious items are in there?

I'm a bit boring. Amongst the batteries, bluetack, & keys, oh so many keys I've found a digital rectal thermometer, a tiny pack of playing cards & an original Bali laser that they banned for being too dangerous.

You know the one, it drops those hairy bastard balls of itchiness.
From a cursory read these are chosen for the root systems resilience, growth rate & summer shade/winter sun.
Wouldn't there be some fruit tree that meets all these requirements? I do remember years ago, a car park in some Perth suburb had mandarin trees planted throughout.
What over riding factors stop us doing this, free fruit for who ever needs, hopefully not just wants it (greedy & envious people will always be here but community can help reduce this)
Would the farmers kick up much of a stink, it couldn't be a lot in the annual gross output?
Spread of disease is a huge factor but I'd be willing to pay a bit extra on my rates for the ranger to monitor this.
