About a pet peeve regarding people who specifically mention a brand in tutorials

Americans have learned a distorted version of Argentine history from tiktoks/reels that are less than 3 minutes long (people who delete comments telling them otherwise btw) and now they think all Argentines are Aryans LOL. They ignore our Afro-Argentine history and the immigration of our Haitian, Senegalese, and Cape Verdean communities (They traveled by ship with Europeans of Spanish and Italian origin)

Sorry, gringos, but Argentina isn't the USA (We had 70,000 slaves from Africa, they had more than 600,000, with segregation lasting for DECADES.). Flood every post with an Argentine flag with hateful comments is NOT woke.

EDIT: Here’s the explanation, since it seems to be so hard to understand. The United States has a very specific definition of race; whereas in other countries being white is just a skin color, there it’s a new race. The Irish and the Jews weren’t treated as white, they were looked down upon. It wasn’t until many Irish people abandoned their culture that this “burden” went away.

In any given context, almost no player from Argentina would be considered white, not just because of their appearance, but also because of their last names, their accents when they speak, and etc.

But now that Americans and many people here have learned history through Instagram reels, calling a latino racist isn’t considered very “woke” because racism supposedly only happens from white to black.
