Apple to Fold
I’ve been thinking about moving from iOS to the fold 7 since it was released, I’m pretty integrated into the Apple eco but I’m prepared to move everything. If the IPhone fold is crap I’m going fold 8.
I am wondering though, those of you who moved from Apple. How’s the green bubble experience in 2026? Is it reliable?
I don’t see myself using WhatsApp etc, just want native messaging. Can standard sms compete?
Otherwise what was the hardest part of migrating?
Gamehub troubleshooting.
I decided to test out Gamehub for Apple silicon.
Connected GOG and Steam library.
Installed a few small sized games first for obvious reasons.
Postal 2 - Runs but very choppy - unplayable
Heroes of Might and Magic 2 - Gamepath Invalid - Won't load
Duke Nukem - Gamepath Invalid - Won't load
For the Gamepath invalid - I am installing games onto an external SSD. I did try on internal SSD to test and had the same issue.
Restarted Gamehub etc.
14" M1 Pro MacBook Pro.
Does anyone have a fix?
Would I have a better experience trying newer games?
Thought I'd ask here first before I start downloading BG3 or something.
Also what were some very playable and unplayable titles from your experience?
Help -
I just redeemed the 3 months at $0.99 per month plus the $20 credit thing that Amazon sent to my email. Followed by a confirmation email.
When I go to membership details, cancel membership etc it just takes me to my usual amazon account.
But my Audible account linked to the same email has no membership, and no history of the purchase.
is there an AUS version and a US version?
I'm so confused, navigation is incredibly unintuitive.
Help would be much appreciated.
Don't be like this loser.
ALWAYS play to the end. This guy had me for a while! I could see he wanted to promote as many pawns as possible before mate so I intentionally gave him my last pawns and knight.. Stalemate loser.
$ sudo override --system=ios --setup=matrix
Matrix inspired terminal aesthetic.
Custom text wallpaper was made using Canva. Finished it off with tinted, colour matched icons.

Found this at the top of an officeworks ( Aus ) electronics recycling bin. Perfect condition. Was setting it up then unfortunately hit this wall. No idea who the previous owner is. Is it just a brick now?
Apple’s color rotation strategy is a genius way to manufacture iPhone FOMO
Every four ish years, iPhones look similar enough that throwing a case on your phone basically hid what generation you had. It completely killed the social pressure to upgrade because nobody around you could hardly tell the difference anyway.
Enter the iPhone 17 Pro and its Cosmic Orange and giant camera bump. Even with a case on, that vibrant color is a dead giveaway that you're holding the newest flagship.
But here’s the brilliant part of this strategy.. Next year, they'll drop orange entirely for a completely different loud hero color like the leaked cherry red. The second that happens, your orange phone instantly tells the world you have last year's model.
Apple just found a way to force upgrade FOMO every single year.
Leatherman Rebar EDC
Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Leatherman Rebar. I’d been eyeing it for a while at $206 AUD. I originally wanted an Arc or an Alpha, but between the price and the bulk, I wanted something smaller to replace my Swiss Army Knife or my useless SOG Powerpint.
Overall, I’m pretty impressed. The size and weight are spot on, the materials feel premium, and the colour looks epic.
In Australia, carrying a blade is mostly illegal without a lawful reason, so EDC requires intentionality. While the inside opening tools are a bit annoying to access, it actually helps my cause legally. It proves I’m carrying it strictly for a purpose, work, rather than quick deployment.
I do have a couple of cons, though. It was incredibly stiff out of the box. I’ve lubricated it and it’s breaking in well, but it’s taking time. Also, there’s no way to tell the straight blade from the serrated blade from the outside, so opening it up is always a 50/50 guessing game.
Despite that, I'm really happy with it and excited to put it to use. Plus, skipping the Arc means I can put that cash toward a new compound bow instead.
