Sharing some old decals I’ve dug out to make some marines I’m planning to repaint more authentic. Hopefully a few weeks in sunlight will reduce the yellow aging on them.
The Ultramarine decals are terrible though, all the are misaligned with the carrier film!
Some more old pics from Bovington. These seem to be the Enigma, a T62 and an engineering vehicle before they were moved inside on display. Anyone know if the ARV is still there?
I was going through some old photos and found these of the Schmalturm Panther turret when it used to lie outside by the car park, and before someone decided it was worthy of preservation! Also looks like a bit more fell off before it made it into the museum if you compare to current photos.
The large grass area behind the turret is where the current arena is today.
The halt is still open as a request stop. The power station to the right of the B&W picture supplied the Bargoed colliery. Now long gone with the area reforested with footpaths.

I thought you guys would like my latest converted Deathwatch marine from the old Inquisitor range. Some upscaled 3D printing was done for the parts to change the helmet, chain sword, bolt gun and of course shoulder-pad.
The perfect choice for the inquistor game, as Brother Lysandros operates alone expecting no support or reinforcement. No Watch Captain would doubt his resolve or effectiveness, but the association with too many missions suffering endless calamities and catastrophic losses have seen him quietly rostered elsewhere into solitary roles. None would put voice to their superstition, and Lysandros would never make accusation, he accepts the unspoken agreement to take his fight to the enemy alone.
Photo probably taken in Asia during 50s or 60s. Am guessing a MiG or Chinese copy, I see hints of camo applied and striped rudder so welcome suggestions of colour too!
Arik Taranis might not have been the only Thunder Warrior to survive on Terra. Even in a deteriorated state, one would be a formidable foe for any group exploring the ruins of old earth…
Latest two are Garviel Loken and the old Blood Angels Captain, looking rather goofy upscaled. I’m making things mostly for a Heresy era setting for the game which quite excites me… maybe actually get to play one day.
