(2nd attempt) July and aug progress!

The first time I posted this I didn’t even add the photos. Just blank

Work got busy and I missed July! Sad but I’m back. The cumulative totals account for everything I used during the excruciatingly dreadful, two-month period of July and August, 2026.

If you divide it by 2, it’s (statistically) considered progress!

A note on the sticker album: it’s in progress. I’m being a perfectionist about it.

July + August 2026:
Individual / flake stickers: 254 total
PET / Plastic: 54
Paper: 200
Paper sticker sheets: 62

(Belated) June Progress / Update !! :)

Last month’s post: https://www.reddit.com/r/stationeryprojectpan/s/iqKoeGqs73

Hello hello!

First and foremost, please always feel more than welcome to ask questions!! I love to talk about stationery lol

A quick note about my last post: I intentionally removed the sticker book flip thru from the images and subsequently forgot to remove it from the text! It occurred to me that this sub is full of fellow stationery lovers that are looking to cut back on/minimize either spending, consumption, or both. That type of content is what makes me hungry to shop LOL. I plan to post it to the stationery sub and my TikTok soon tho!

Did I buy more stickers this month? Yes. Traveled for my best friend’s wedding and had to get some local ones, + found a Japanese import store near my home soooo…yeah lol

I finally finished last year’s mid year planner; it was so stuffed it is totally detached from the hardcover binding! Also finished my A5 Midori commonplace and a small travel journal (good riddance to all, honestly)

In the future, I will be sticking to thin notebooks. And very short planners. I don’t like carrying bulky stuff regularly and I genuinely prefer to change up my formatting and stuff every once in a while!

ANYWAY:

June 2026:
Individual / flake stickers: 347 total

Yay for May progress! Busy work month=less time for hobbies💔

I finally finished organizing all of my other stickers! Time lapse flip through at the end. I’m proud of it! Even though it took…months. Also made some magnets for my fridge, cleaned my FPs, and started getting through some of my super thick sticker books!

So I am officially on a non-strict, exhaustion-induced sticker no-buy.

Pelikan from my grandmother

Good evening! (EST)

When my grandmother passed, I found a small stash of fountain pens in her old desk. Totally dried up, clearly hasn’t been used in years.

I know there’s a very niche Pelikan-brand loving community out there and I am calling upon you!! She received the pictured pen as a gift from the BKA (kinda like the FBI) when she was working intelligence over there in the 60s-90s. Who knows, could have just been their standard office pem, but I like to think it’s special just for that reason!

Any expertise yall can offer?
There was also a Nino Cerruti (last photo) that I LOVE and has become an EDC for me. + 2 Mont Blanc pens that I cleaned out and gave to my mom as a little memento :)

Pls ignore the fuzz on the tip 🫪🫷🏻

Open to any and all (budget friendly) ideas

Hi guys!

I’m a long-time lurker and finally have reached a point in my life where I require y’all’s expertise. My living situations before this were all very temporary (college) so it never really mattered before.

Now, it matters. I love love love to cook — I used to do it all the time — but now I can’t stand being in this new kitchen. It’s gray, desolate, almost, if not entirely, depressing. The open concept doesn’t help bc smells go into the entire apartment, but that’s beside the point.

Everything is builder-grade, point blank period. It’s a brand new remodel and I’m the first to live here since its conversion from an office space. The Paint is laid on so thick that some hinges didn’t work properly when I first moved in.

I love mildly eclectic styles. Which will
Be terribly evident in my initial ideas:
- Neutral/warm-toned green peel and stick tiling along the backsplash, the wall next to the fridge, and the wall along the window.
- New hardware on the cabinets (6 inch handles) — I’d love to find something unique and keep coming back to a fish-shaped handle, but it’s the wrong size -_- (I’m thinking brass?)
- covering the gap above the cabinets with boards. My neighbor did this and it just elevated the space exponentially. They used black, but I’m open to other colors
- I will be replacing the runner rug ASAP this one is so yuck and wool makes me INSANE every time I vacuum it’s like an entire cat made its way into the tank!
- the pendant lights have got to go. I hate them

Painting is unfortunately off the table for now (that doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying!)

I made some of my own magnets to help bring the fridge to life a little. Put some stuff on the counters that makes me happy.

I wish I could have spent more time on it as I moved in almost a year ago, but my new job is far more demanding than initially expected.

Feedback, ideas, recommendations, and even if you notice huge flaws I’ve missed — I’m all ears!

That toaster oven is now gone by the way. The cart thing by the window has since moved because it felt really narrow over there but now it feels empty.

Japan shopping / buy Suggestions?

Hello everyone!
I posted a similar question in r/TravelersNotebook, but I wanted to ask here as well since this community has such a wide range of knowledge when it comes to Japanese stationery.
My partner is traveling to Japan soon, and he has asked me approximately 100 times to send him a list of places to visit and stationery items to bring back for me.
So far, the only specific thing I’ve confidently requested is the Traveler’s Company Kyoto exclusive cover. Beyond that, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of amazing options.

I’m especially interested in:
- Japan-exclusive Traveler’s Notebook inserts and accessories
- Limited-edition stationery items that are difficult or impossible to find in the United States
- Fountain pen inks, limited edition pen colors, pens, stickers, stamps, ORGANIZERS!!! and other stationery that are truly worth picking up while in Japan
- Favorite stationery stores in cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka

Every time I start researching this, I go down a rabbit hole and quickly get overwhelmed. I love researching things I’m interested in, but because research is also my full-time job, sometimes it feels harder to do it for fun.
I would be incredibly grateful for any recommendations—whether it’s a must-buy item, a hidden gem, or a store you think every stationery lover should visit.
Thank you so much in advance! I can’t wait to hear everyone’s suggestions. :)

TN shopping in Japan!

Hello everyone! My partner is going to Japan soon and he has asked me 100x to send him lists of places to go and things to buy for me!

The only direction I’ve been able to send him in, so far, is the TN Kyoto cover. I know how well-versed you guys are and was hoping you would have some suggestions of what I could ask for?

I’m interested in TN inserts that I can’t get in the US and anything else you guys think is truly worth picking up! :)

Every time I try to dive into the research for this, I get overwhelmed super easily. As much as I love researching things I’ll be buying, doing research as my job has made this considerably more difficult lol

Thank you in advance and I can’t wait to see what yall suggest :))

Getting creative with the card size?

Hi guys!

I was hoping to get some inspiration from this lovely community about what to do with my new card size TN! I’ve seen many of y’all put together some beautiful wallet setups and am considering doing the same.

Just wanted to survey the field and see what else y’all have come up with for your card size TNs!

Or, if you’ve purchased/improvised/DIY’d any inserts to help achieve your setup?

I’d love to see (and/or hear about) your creations :)

▲ 5 r/floorplan+1 crossposts

Hi everyone,

I’m struggling to make my open-concept living/dining/kitchen area feel cozy and inviting. The layout is awkward…walls don’t align nicely, a door throws things off, and there’s a ton of wasted empty space in the middle that makes the whole room (roughly 17x18 living/dining per the floor plan) feel cold and undefined. The kitchen just blends straight into everything. And it’s SO WHITE.

The bedroom is it’s whole own issue. I have a queen size bed. Idek where to begin and I don’t have pics on me (I’m at work)

I want to bring in warmth, coziness, darker colors, and rich textures (think, like, velvet, deep wood tones, layered rugs, maybe a backsplash, etc.) while working with my existing pieces: white sofa with black trim, green velvet tub chairs with dark brass studs and they spin, kitchen island (I’m down to repaint it too) sideboards, and lots of blue/white chinoiserie decor, plants, and lamps.

Highly considering oversized warm toned pendant bulbs (like a huge lightbulb) to replace the current pendant lights; it’ll add horizontal light while the current ones are BRIGHT white and only shine straight down

Attached: full floor plan + photos from multiple angles (entry, kitchen, living area, current setup).

Any advice on:

- Zoning the space (living vs dining vs kitchen flow) to reduce the empty middle without blocking movement

- Smart placement for sofa, chairs, TV

- Ways to add warmth/coziness through color, texture, rugs, lighting, or subtle dividers

- Overall layout ideas that make it feel pulled-together and homey

Sketches, similar examples, or quick tips based on the plan would be amazing!

Thank you for ANY input. this space has great bones but needs help feeling warm and lived-in and less institution-ish

Tl;DR — I have all of these symptoms in my apartment and they somewhat disappear when I travel. Wtf is going on?

Hi y’all. I (24F) have reached the end of the internet and can’t take it anymore. I’ve given myself contamination anxiety over this and cannot continue on.

I moved into my apartment in June 2025. It’s a suburb of DC, but my building backs up to a fire station and is on a main road so I consider it (at least relatively) urban. Prior to this I lived in a very rural area for 5 years, but the city I live in now is where I grew up.

The building — it’s bones, at least — turned 100 in 2025. Everything passed inspection. All units inside have been fully renovated in the last 2 years.

All of the following has been consistent since November-ish. Maybe October. I have traveled to Europe twice and out of state twice since then, and every time the symptoms have subsided. (Except the pain. It minimizes but it’s def still there)

Every time I’m at home, I get tiny, incredibly infected whiteheads in my hairline, scalp, and on my face. Am I acne prone? Yes. But this has never ever happened to me before. My bf (24M) gets them too and he is NOT acne prone. I have oily skin and he is incredibly dry. It doesn’t make any sense. I’m even back on acne meds now.

I feel sick, weak, and exhausted all the time. I’m in constant, excruciating pain from an injury that’s been resolved for TEN YEARS until about 6 months after I moved in…then the pain started again.

Every time I get a cut or a scratch or even just a pimple, it gets horribly infected and takes weeks to heal; I was once the kind of person where if I got a paper cut at 9am it was gone at 9pm. Now it’s there for weeks. There’s a blister on my foot (from new shoes) that is STILL a scab and it’s been 4 months.

I change the air filters 2x/ month because they literally turn black. We just switched building mgmt companies so I’m hoping they can resolve this.

My bf installed a new shower head because we thought that might be the source. Nothing changed.

Changed the aerators on every sink. Did drano in all the drains. Nothing changed.

I’ve used regular tide pods forever and switched to the free and gentle kind bc I thought maybe I was just getting sensitive to it again. Nothing changed.

I just ordered a new mattress, sheets, mattress protector, and bed frame because that’s the only other thing I can think of.

We are very clean people. I’m talking a pretty thorough cleaning of the entire apt at least once per week. We’ve lived together for 2 years btw so I don’t think it’s like a reaction to each other or something lol

If anyone has any advice PLEASE help. I feel like I’m losing it

I was curious if yall have any fun stories about meeting stationery enthusiasts out in the real world. I find that it’s a rather rare occurrence, but when I do encounter one, it’s such a sweet interaction every time.

Last September, a Lufthansa flight attendant noticed me journaling and brought me a children’s sticker book (they do little kids “favors” on overnight flights) and it had stickers of all their airplane models!

Same thing happened on Swiss air six months later! I was organizing my stickers into categories at the time. I noticed her peeking over my shoulder and was like “omg she probably thinks I’m crazy” but an hour or later she asked me about it, we chatted, and I got the same stickers from Swiss — just picturing their planes instead lol

And a lovely waitress in FR of all places noticed my hobonichi weeks and brought me a bunch of stickers / business cards / recipe cards from the restaurant 😭😭so so cute. And we chatted about the original vs. weeks and which we each prefer/use more.

Some of the sweetest people ever! Do yall have similar experiences?

Hi!

Was wondering if yall have any recs for events or if anyone would want to get a group going for stationery enthusiasts in the DMV area? I (24F) am familiar with the events at Penny Post in VA and frequent them!

Am curious if I’ve been missing out and I keep meeting stationery enthusiasts in the wild which is so fun, but never in my home area.

Thanks guys :))
