How do you play against diffusal as an offlaner?
Say I am axe, UL, or tide and they have a PL with diffusal. Even if I am tanky, he just has to hit me enough to deplete my mana for me to be effectively spell-less in fights.
Meaning I cant spam my e on tide, i can't use battle hunger or culling blade on axe, firestorm spam on UL etc and I feel completely zoned out in fights that are drawn out.
What scenarios do you get faeirie fire as an offlaner?
I'm starting to play offlane more and see quite often players with faerie fire as their first starting items in the lane. What I find confusing is scenarios where you would rather opt for stats or a tango, or even a wand.
What build would you go in this matchup as Offlane Necro?
Radiant: lion, LS, snap, necro, od.
Dire: kez, silencer, pduge, sf, earth shaker
I am a new offlane player so still trying to get the gist of the metas so I watch some vids and live replays on the 'watch' tab and read dota2protracker etc. Im at 4.2k mmr, and I feel when I try to leverage builds I see I will get flamed if I don't go some aura bot ultra sustain build.
In the game i watched, the Necro went wand, brown boots, lace, rad, shard, BoTs, euls and heart. The ls went rad also.
I feel if I tried this in any game I would get flamed to hell? They would tell me to go wraps/pipe/lotus etc, or am I misreading the situation?
Always The Sun - Richard Durand. Build up after 2:30 sends me to the moon, WOW!
youtube.comHas anyone tried the Macro Mike flavours at Coles?
From the sounds of it they sound delicious. I just got a sample pack of theirs but none of the samples are the flavours from coles/woolies.
So far I have only tried 3, quite liked the chocolate caramel ones, the other 2 were a mix of decent but not the best.
I always loved nutrigrain and cocopops growing up. Golden gay times are decent but weren't my favourite icecream, found them to be too sweet.
Armin's Set at EDC is such a banger! Have listened to it 4 times now
youtube.comAm I an old man or do people just have way less common courtesy these days?
I remb 10 years ago when I used to catch PT, even during peak hour people wouldn't just rush past to get in and get the best seats. Whenever I catch the train these days, I wait for the passengers inside to get out first, and stand in the same position I was in prior to getting to the train.
I don't just arrive in the last 5 seconds and skip to the front and stand right next to the entrance, then quickly get it after 1-2 people inside got out. This used to be a thing I swear that mostly everyone abided by. Now you do that and you get left standing there like a chump whilst everyone just cuts or rushes in to get a spot or seat.
And I don't even get that because now we have SRL and more frequent trains, like chill tf out.
Great Uplifting Vocal Mix I found on spotify
open.spotify.comTide item build order, and why generally phase boots?
I wantd to start playing tide off, and struggle to make sense of the meta builds.
by min 15 i usually see people with items like pb, quelling, wand, bracer, soul ring, vlads.
my first question is, why generally phase boots? And if you do get them, how should you be utilising the item? i thought that at least a mask before pb would be better to sustain yourself in lane and accelerate farm. Furthermore, I thought tide is more of a stand and fight hero so arcane/graeves would be better giving he's offlane (and depending on lineup), or even treads for the stats.
Post that I'm also curious about mid-late game items and ordering. Blink or shard after vlads? Let's say they have a qop or wr mid and you have one other reliable stun, is shard always a must before you get your bigger items?
What after your blink/shard? if I'm up against high magic casters does it make sense to go mage blade instead of like pipe or Consecrated Wraps? What about aghs?
What if you're against mostly physical damage, is that more assault/shivas? Does vanguard make any sense?
How, what's the best way to use his w. it slows movement speed so is it generally just better to stand and fight with e? Do you use it at high hp or wait for your hp to get lower?
Sorry I know these are questions whose answer depends on a lot of context, but just trying to understand the hero as watching high mmr games doesn't seem to be hitting my intuitions about the hero and his ability correctly.
Are DJs typically out of touch with what their base wants to hear?
Out of the last 3 Armin sets I went to, 2 were CHEESE as hell. Most latest one had a lot of good trance and really got the whole crowd going - something for literally everything.
But with that said, I've noticed in my life a lot of DJ sets from otherwise amazing producers where they just leave you unsatisfied and wanting more. Whether it's them skikping the drop of a classic song into some mid remix, or just not playing the genre they're known and loved for, or something else.
I don't think Im the only one that feel this way but just curious if I'm a small minority
Rewatching LOTR and can't help but immensely appreciate the set design
The way Saruman's lair is setup is so nice. All the details that went in making it look like a real-life evil wizard's lair. The chaos of scrolls and potions and books scattered around his office. The imposing and menacing architecture of the room where he keeps the palantir.
I never used to appreciate this kind of stuff before, but it feels so nice to have these details, and it gives me a sense of immersion and nostalgia and for the film. Maybe I notice it more now because the same thing now would feel much more glossy and less realistic. Less 'fantasy' and more digital, like a replica of fantasy instead of fantasy itself.
I honestly used to eye-roll when people hated on The Hobbit trilogy for its CGI amongst other things, but I get it now. This aspect that was present in LOTR is almost entirely missing. I still thought some of the CGI was very cool, e.g., Erebor Kingdom or the parts within Dale, especially on the big screen.
I've found all the jobs I've been in in the last 10 years, I've always had a good relationship with all my coworkers and bosses. Like we at the bare minimum are friendly and professional, or sometimes end up bonding and becoming friends outside of work.
I feel like I'm becoming closer with my direct team and even wider team incl my manager lately, and it feels fun.
I am generally a pos 4/5 player, forced into offlane role because of the new role queue rules, and am now pretty strong with UL, razor, and viper as offlane. I enjoy UL/Viper, not razor as much (i mainly go aura-bot build) but my WR is like 70% on razor or something lol. but I find him boring unless Im not aura bot.
I am getting tired of these heroes now and want to experiment some more. I dont like heroes with micro (e.g., beast master), but open to anything else! Tried tide a few times and found him insaenly boring. Im at 4.4k mmr playing in SEA/Aus server and want to continue climbing
I really love the dreamy aesthetic to this movie and the way all the creatures and terrains are designed, the colograding etc. I started looking for these kind of movies after seeing a page on instagram called @ozavry_ and wanted to watch movies with a medieval sci fi aesthetic with vivid colors like this.
