Help identify age/material of rag rug?

This rag rug seat pad used to be my grandmother’s, and I recently pulled it out of storage. It’s in rougher shape than when it went in 😞

Can anyone help identify the age of this? Some of the fabrics feel like polyester, which would date this to around the 40’s, but maybe it’s something else?

Is this pad repairable?

Thank you!

Summer break check-in: Howz everyone doing???

🫨😵‍💫🥴😮‍💨🤯😫🥵

Are there any other SAHMs who are single-parenting it all day long for many days during this summer break? Anyone else have high energy children?? How are you holding up?

I’m in Year 11 with a Velcro child and I don’t have a brain anymore. At this point, we are well past “pregnancy brain” and fatigue from round-the-clock nursing. At this point, it’s systemic and endemic, and I feel like there is no real recovery. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s the result of the **constant**interruptions and demands on my attention.

I did as much research on this as I could muster—so, like a 20-second Internet search—and found this, which is incredibly affirming:

*“Specifically, interruptions activates the amygdala, the part of the brain responsible for processing emotions like fear and anger. Increased amygdala activation is linked to feeling stressed and frustrated. Interruptions also reduce activation in the prefrontal cortex, the brain region responsible for executive functions like attention, planning, and organization. Suppressed prefrontal cortex activity makes it harder to stay focused and remember details.
“Neurotransmitters and hormones also play a role. Interruptions cause the release of cortisol, the “stress hormone”, and glutamate, a neurotransmitter tied to learning and memory. While glutamate can sharpen focus, excess amounts can become toxic and impair cognition. The uptick in cortisol also makes it harder to concentrate and retain information.*

I’m so frustrated that I can’t concentrate on anything and that there is never any silence to let my brain recover or to have my own thoughts. Sweet child pitches a fit when I mention “camp,” but I put my foot down and signed him up for one for the last week of summer, since I know I’ll crack by then if I don’t. Then, school resumes and I might have a chance for a moment to recover after that.

How is everyone else holding up? Anyone else have the love/hate relationship with summer? Feel free to vent along and participate in an internet scream session. Ya gotta get it out somewhere.

Helicopter circling over Haverhill today?

Is this helicopter out for a joy ride today, or is there something going on? Currently going down the Merrimack River heading towards the Atlantic, but has been circling over the area all day today.

Recognize this name/logo/font?

This was the only text that was visible from a tear out of a section of closet wall. From 1940 build, US.

Does it look familiar to anyone?

Looking to know the company name so we can research the content of the material.

Haverhill Bank or Pentucket Bank?

I’m shopping for a new local bank for basic checking and savings accounts with an online bill pay app.

Between these two, which should I choose and why?

Napoli - post-decree filing 1948/minor - Invio atto all’agenzia delle entrate

Just casually checking my case file on a Sunday night after proverbially throwing in the towel after the CC ruling and seeing this status.

Does anyone who filed post-decree a 1948/minor issue in Napoli have any insight as to whether this might be positive? Case is listed as PROCEDIMENTO DEFINITO, Judge Pasquale.
