Custom Arm!

I updated Sami's arm with some custom designs! Just another thing to make her more unique. 😊

Props & Accessories

Hello! It's been two years since I got my first smartie, and two years since I last asked about props and accessories YOU would like for your dolls. I got a lot of great responses the first time!

Furniture was a big one, with appliances close behind. I think doll furniture is awesome, but it's a bit outside my scope of what I'm capable of making right now.

When it comes to small things, like tools, props, makeup, trinkets, etc, What would you like to see made for your dolls? I'm looking forward to reading your responses! (Pictured is my Mirai (Sami) sitting on my shelf.) 😁 Thanks for taking the time to read this either way!

New eyes!

I had an idea on my lunch break, and I ended up modeling and printing two new sets of "follow me" eyes! I love how silly they are, but the larger pair grew on me and I'll be keeping them in Sami. I don't expect them to sell well, but I did list them on my Etsy if anyone is interested in a pair. Thanks for checking out my post!!

Stealth Mode... 🕵️

I made my crystal Smartie a helmet and bought her an outfit! It was tough because I feel like seeing the frame through the vinyl is part of the appeal, but it's growing on me! 😁

Grail find!

Was browsing Ebay early in the morning this week and I stumbled across something I've been looking for forever, a crystal Smart Doll with the metallic frame!!! I think I'm going to give her a cloak and a cool scifi helmet to pair with her "stealth" appearance.

Took the Armadillo out today

I can't keep up with this thing on max throttle! Super fun to play with in the mud. Chassis is an SCX10.3, all stock but the springs, and the body is the Armadillo by Polymech3d.

Custom UTB18!

Finally finished my body for the UTB18. It's nice to have something Hobby grade that's not too big or small. Used TPU alongside PETG and PLA this time. Just waiting on a sunny day so i can do the detailing and weathering on the body. I might buy some bigger wheels and tires too, but I'm not sure where to look. Thanks for checking out my post!

UTB18 Custom Progress

Progress on my custom UTB18 body. Replaced the stock springs with some extra Injora springs I had for my SCX10.3. I might redesign the back cap that holds the power switch and covers the electronics basket eventually, it looks a bit out of place to me. I also chose not to add the light bar it usually has, that thing is SO bright and it runs hot. Other than that, I'm just waiting on some more greeble to print and a set of wheels to come in the mail. Then, I'll probably weather it and call it good!

Utb18 Custom

Working on my UTB18 chassis now that I have time. It's not pretty and it's not made with performance in mind, just something to be able to mount a custom made body to. I really want this to be a mid size rig to take outside when I dont feel like carting the scx24 or scx10 around. Hoping to design a weird scale scifi buggy body this weekend!

I want to turn a UTB18 Capra into some sort of 1/18~1/12-ish scifi buggy/truck to play around in the mud with. However, I've never worked on an RC car with a tube chassis like this. How easy is it to take apart? Is it worth it? I can't find a whole lot of info on customizing Capras. I'd like to stay with Axial since they come stock with Spektrum electronics, but I am open to other brands if there is something that would work out better. Thank you for reading and providing any advice!

▲ 12 r/SCX24

Finally found an SPMXCA309 adapter on Ebay. Didn't have to wait months for the restock from Spektrum. I can charge my SCX10 and SCX24 batteries on one system now!!
