January Caribbean Trip

Husband and I are looking to do a 4 night trip in January. We love St Barth (Cheval blanc), Harbour Island (coral sands or Dunmore), and I loved parts of bermuda. We want to try somewhere new with the same feel. I know it’s hard to top St Barth, but looking to get close.

Have thought about La Samanna in St Martin, Cobblers Cove in Barbados, Round Hill Jamaica (although I think I’d get bored).

What we love:
- great food options
- charm and character (ideally design forward for me)
- places to shop and walk around safely
- a hotel with pool beach spa etc
- I can’t lay around all day so need to be able to go off property for meals and exploring

Ideally ~$1400 or less per night. I’ll hopefully be pregnant so I can drive us to dinners and such.

Any recs??

33 married business owner

Hi, I have a financial advisor and all but I’m interested in feedback specifically about my 401k from the masses.

33f married business owner of 9 years. Business has grown to $1.3M size this year.

Personal savings:
$100k in money market
$275k invested
$140k in 401ks
Put $200k cash in our house

Mortgage $3700
No other debts

We bring home $16,200 salary cash each month. My husband get commission quarterly and it varies. My business has grown a lot this year where I’ll likely be paying myself a $200k+ bonus over the course of the year (I pay it out monthly based on AR).

My husband does 7% with his 401k but as a business owner, should I start maxing out my contribution each year? Honestly I kind of forget and wonder if investing it works just as well?

We will have a strong inheritance down the road but hopefully not for 20 years so we need to be comfortable now.

So 1) how are we doing 2) am I being dumb about 401k

16 dpo

Betas
11dpo: 9
13dpo: 24
15dpo: 56

We’ve had two chemicals and husband has high DNA frag % so we had been planning to potentially do IVF later this year. Doctor said no more betas and we scheduled ultrasound for 2 weeks out.

How does 16dpo look??? Should I stop testing?

15 dpo

13 vs 15 dpo. My betas have been 9 at 11 dpo and 24 at 11 dpo. I feeeeep like 15 dpo test looks semi dark? But my betas have been so low which is similar to my last two chemicals.

What do we think?

14 dpo

Does this look like progression to anyone? My 13 dpo beta was 24 and went up 160% from my 11 dpo beta but I can’t tell if this is any darker or plateauing

12 dpo

The double is 11 dpo am and single is 12 dpo. My beta at 11 was 10 and my fertility doc got me started on my blood thinners + acknowledged that being low but also noted it was super early. She did say she was hopeful though. I’ve had 2 chemicals due to husbands high dna frag %. Do we see hope with today’s 12 dpo test?

High DNA Frag

On our 3rd positive pregnancy test as of today (following 2 chemicals). Husband has high DNA fragmentation. We’re planning for IVF later this year if things don’t improve. But we just got our first positive test since finding out about his high number. It’s so hard to not be hopeful despite knowing the history. He has a really high sperm count so I’m praying maybe one of the good ones won. Anyways, how do you cautiously smile while also keeping hopes low 🫠

Hii got a positive on 10dpo and went for my first beta 12dpo, it was low (11) but progesterone very high (27) so doctor felt good. It doubled to 24 on 14dpo which was also 3w6d so hadn’t even missed period yet. I’m going back tomorrow to check again since it was so early.

My FRER have been getting darker since 10 but feel like they’re kinda steady now, boobs very sore and some stomach issues. Just nervous with those hcg numbers being low!

Anyone have similar experience?

How does this look for line progression? I had a low blood HCG (11) on 12 dpo but my first positive was only 36 hours earlier and progesterone was 26. Got second test this am but won’t have the results until tomorrow. Nervous and excited but mostly anxious!

I got a BFP yesterday afternoon at 10dpo. Was negative at 10dpo morning. Took tests again today, FMU wasn’t great but 4 hours later was good. On the wood backdrop are 10dpo afternoon. My chart looks good I think?

My chemical last cycle has me so nervous to get excited!!!
