Bgv & digilocker

How are education details / degree verified? Mine is not retrievable from digilocker as requested by KPMG. What happens in this case? I have shared the scanned copies of degree and marksheet with them. Is this a necessary step which may cause some delay?

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Job offer delay - context below.

I received an email that I have cleared business assessment round and asked for all the documentation including my background details, past CTC etc.

The final CTC discussion was done with HR almost 2 weeks ago. However, there is a delay in offer rollout, which would also mean that my joining date is postponed. The reason given to me is that there is a software upgrade that is happening and offer roll outs are taking time.

Does it usually happen? Is it happening with anybody else? Basically, should I be worried?

Delhi to Ladakh | Tata Nexon Automatic

Hi everyone,

We are planning a trip to Ladakh and want to do a complete circuit : Delhi - Srinagar - Leh - Delhi.

We have Tata Nexon Automatic and we have driven in mountains in the past. However, we are unclear how dangerous it is to drive this circuit. Any tips/suggestions will be really helpful.

Also, how many day do you recommend we keep for this circuit. Maybe important to note that we are planning this in second half of July.

Thank you!!

North Indian couple, relocating to Mangalore - Thoughts?

Hi good people of Mangalore!

We're a couple in our early 30s, no kids, currently living in Gurugram. Long term, we don't see ourselves settling here: lack of green spaces, not walkable, air pollution, to name a few issues. What we do value here is the availability of house help and language not being a barrier.

We've been contemplating where to relocate, and we're leaning towards the South, especially Vizag/Mangalore, since North India is hit by air pollution every winter, and we both love beaches. Ideally we'd like somewhere friendly, with a younger crowd, clean and green, good weather, and house help available. We both work remotely.

So, for people who live here or relocated here (especially from North India):

  1. How has it been for you?

  2. What challenges could we face - language, social acceptance?

  3. If we want to rent/buy, where would you suggest we look?

  4. What should we be prepared for before seriously considering a move?

These are just some of our questions, please address whichever feels most relevant. We're looking for any guidance. Thank you!
