Pretty self-explanatory title. I absolutely loved Madonna’s new album and know that some listening parties happened last night, but I was wondering if there’s one happening tonight!
Either way, I’m sure they’ll play some of her songs at the club, but I really need to dance to most of this album.
I’m an artist whose main field is acting. All of my training has been dedicated to it, BFA and MFA. It is however a challenging career and I do have insecurities about how good enough I am for it. For the past years, especially I’ve been feeling the burden of this profession, which I’m sure is related to my Saturn return and some burnout. I have achieved some things in my acting career but I also have a different unrelated survival job and that has also been wearing me out. I am a writer as well and that comes very naturally to me since a very early age, and lately I’ve been thinking of investing more in that, whether it is by writing novels, plays, or TV/movie scripts, and/or teaching as well. I definitely feel more talented as a writer than as an actor, but I also don’t want to give up on acting.
This weekend I had an appointment with an astrologer who advised me against working as an actor – pretty much from the get-go, before I said anything about how I’ve been feeling. She said my chart
doesn’t have anything that favors acting, especially as I have a Sun in the 12th house and nothing on my 5th house (she used the Placidus method, which I’m posting here). She said I can be very successful as a writer or even as a director, but that I shouldn’t try to be an actor anymore, because my life will
simply not allow it. That stung deeply because as much as I love and want to explore different art forms, I also always dreamed of being an actor and wanted to succeed as one.
So my question is: are there any other aspects in my chart she may have overlooked that favour acting? And with how much of a grain of salt would you take what she said? She’s a pretty famous and influential astrologer in my homecountry that has been active for
decades and she seems to be an overall reliable person, but damn, did that bring me down.
