Honest Review of the Xiaomi Pad 7

Honest Review of the Xiaomi Pad 7

I’ve been using the Xiaomi Pad 7 for a while and overall it’s been a really good experience.

The display is excellent — sharp, smooth, and great for watching content.

Portability is also very good; it’s lightweight and easy to carry around.

Battery backup is solid and easily gives me around 8 hours of usage.

Charging speed is impressive too, it gets fully charged in about 1 hour.

The speakers are decent, but they could definitely be better in terms of loudness and bass.

I haven’t tested gaming performance yet, so can’t comment on that part for now.

Overall, it feels like a great value-for-money tablet for media consumption and everyday use.

Best cheap tablet for movies & web series in 2026?

Looking for a budget-friendly tablet mainly for media consumption — Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, web series, etc.

My priorities are:

Best display quality

Deep blacks & good contrast

Long battery life

Good speakers

Smooth streaming experience

Mostly indoor use

I don’t do heavy gaming or editing, so performance just needs to be smooth for daily use and multitasking.

Xiaomi Pad 7: Standard vs Nano-Texture Display for Indoor Media Consumption?

I’m planning to buy the Xiaomi Pad 7 mainly for media consumption (Netflix, YouTube, movies, browsing, etc.).

I’m confused between the standard display and the nano-texture display variant. My usage will be mostly indoors, and I also plan to use a screen protector because I want to use the tablet for a long time.

Since I’ll be applying a screen protector anyway, does the nano-texture display still make sense, or would the standard display be the better choice?

I also found out that the nano-texture version may have slightly lower contrast and less deep blacks compared to the standard glossy display. Is that true in real-world usage? For media consumption, does the standard version actually look better because of richer blacks and punchier contrast?

Another thing is that the nano-texture variant is only about ₹500 more expensive than the standard version, which makes the decision even more confusing.

I’ve heard the nano-texture display reduces glare and feels great, but some people say using a screen protector defeats its purpose.

My priorities are:

Best media viewing experience indoors

Long-term durability

Good display quality with a protector applied

Minimal regret after purchase 😅

Which one would you recommend and why?
