Aldee GT - Brazilian sports car that was forgotten on the streets, but shined on the racing tracks.

The Aldee GT was a Brazilian sports car built by Almir Jose Donato in 1987. The car featured a Volkswagen platform, components, and mechanics, but had its own unique interior. Almir partnered with the metalworking company called Demoral to build the car. Approximately 16 units of the street version were produced, making the car extremely rare today, and even finding images of it is difficult.

But all of this refers to the street version, because in 1990, Donato decided to take one of the 16 units manufactured and transform it into a race car with a tubular chassis and a new engine to compete in the Mil Milhas de São Paulo, the biggest endurance race in Brazil. Achieving a victory in its class, which encouraged him to build other racing versions of the Aldee GT, in total, 54 were produced.

The racing version continued competing in endurance races, regional championships, and free modification classes for the decades to come, till nowadays. Always with its own modifications depending on the team and class it was racing with, becoming the most successful car from a Brazilian brand on racing

Donato also built the Aldee Spyder, an endurance prototype that also became very successful on Brazilian tracks and is still manufactured today.

The last images are From The Street version

The first image is of the Aldee GT from the MC Tubarão team, an iconic Brazilian racing team that competes in various racing competitions in the country With high modifield cars or protoypes

Copa Petrobras De Marcas - Brazil's Forgotten And Underrated Touring Car Series - 2011-2018

The "Campeonato brasileiro de marcas e pilotos"(Brazilian Touring Car Championship) (normally Called Copa Shell) was initially a racing series that ran from 1983 to 1994, featuring street cars With few modifications from various different brands, It was successful at the time.

After its end in 1994 and a completely forgotten return between 2004 and 2009, The series was bought by Vicar, the same company that manages Stock Car Brasil and returned in 2011 completely revamped under the name "Copa Petrobras De Marcas" due to sponsorship reasons.

In the new Copa Petrobrás series, they ran as a support series for Stock Car Brasil, together with Other few series.

With many brands participating with their models at the time (GM, Ford, Toyota, Renault, Mitsubishi, Honda). Also many drivers From Stock Car Brasil also raced in the séries

Previously, these were touring cars with few modifications; now they were touring cars with major modifications, and unlike Stock Car Brasil, they weren't silhouettes. The cars had around 330 HP.

Despite this, during its existence, the series had relatively small grids, and due to high costs, it ended in 2018, being replaced by Turismo Nacional, a more viable alternative to be one of the support series for Stock Car Brazil.

The series had its own game, With the same name as the series' name. The game was made by Reiza Studios, who also made Automobilista, maybe some of you are familiar with those games.

In 2024, A new series, Marcas Brasil Racing was launched, a series that inherited the name but again featuring touring cars with few modifications.

Many Brazilian Puma racing cars that have raced and still race in Brazil.

Maybe some of you are familiar with the Brazilian car brand Puma. Long story, but since the brand's inception, its cars have always been present on Brazilian racetracks, whether officially endorsed or not, at least until the brand went bankrupt in the 1990s.

Even today, teams still modify and race Pumas in endurance races, regional championships, and classic car series in Brazil.

GT, GTE, AM4 and GTB are the models Here, not all of the puma Race cars of course

Some Of them are Drag racing cars, and One Of the White GTEs actually raced or Race in Australia, pretty cool

In the early 2000s, Fiat's official racing team in Brazil competed in endurance races with the Fiat Marea Wagon and Fiat Brava.

In the early 2000s, Fiat's official racing team in Brazil modified and raced a Fiat Marea Weekend Wagon and a Fiat Brava in the Mil Milhas de São Paulo, the biggest endurance race in Brazil.

The cars raced between 2001 and 2003 in different classes.

The Fiat Marea Wagon had about 240 HP, while the Brava had about 162 HP.

The cars remind me of Supertouring cars. Apparently, in 2003, the Fiat Marea Wagon raced against an Audi RS2 and finished ahead of it.

The white Fiat Marea Of the last Photos, im not sure If its a oficial Fiat Race Car, but It raced in the same years that these two cars, pretty cool cars anyaways, all of them

Pretty Cool cars

20 Of The Most Iconic Brazilian Sport Cars From The "Fora De Série Era" Or In English "Out Of World Era"

Those of you who frequent this subreddit or have more knowledge about cars already know these Brazilian car brands, and Brazilian cars

In the past, many sports cars emerged in Brazil for reasons I won't discuss here, but you can probably imagine or know: these sports cars were known as "foras de serie" in Brazil, or in English, the closest translation would be "out of world," due to being exotic cars

I've seen many posts about Brazilian sports cars here, but for some reason, none of them mention that these cars were known as "fora de series," as I said.

So I decided to gather 20 of the most iconic cars from this era and a bonus, the Lobini H1, which is a slightly newer car. Not all are Here, but is already something

Puma AM-4 "Nechi" Endurance Car 1994 - Really Cool Brazilian Racing Car

Some of you who frequent this sub may already know the Brazilian brand Puma and its vehicles, the most famous being the GTE and the GTB, but they had other models besides these, the AM-4 being one of them.

For some time, private racing teams in Brazil had the brand's support to race their cars in various Racing events throughout Brazil, this being the most famous, the Puma AM-4 Nechi. "Nechi" is a combination of the names of its creators. The car raced for Two teams, the team Puma and team Linho Leslie

The car raced and won many endurance races in Brazil between 1991 and 1994 and was the last Puma racing car to have official support from the brand, which folded a few years later.

The car ended its racing career after an accident in 1994 at the famous Mil Milhas de São Paulo, which is the biggest endurance race in Brazil (literally the Brazilian Nürburgring 24 Hours, I also recommend searching about this, many cool cars raced there throughout its history)

The car had about 200 HP VW engine, Had a top speed of 243 kph, 0-100 about 6 seconds and It weighed 760 kg.

After that, the car remained with one of its creators and today is in a museum in Brazil dedicated only to cars of Brazilian brands. I'll see if I can make a post about that.

Miura Top Sport - Brazilian sports car known for its advanced technology for its time.

Miura was a Brazilian car manufacturer between 1966 and 1997, producing sports cars using VW technology, as well as a touch of luxury and technology that was very advanced for the time in its vehicles.

The Top Sport was probably the company's top car in its existence, manufactured between 1989 and 1992, featuring a 120 HP VW engine.

The company ceased operations in 1997, being one of the last Brazilian manufacturers of the "fora de série" or in english, "out-of-series" or "out of World" era, as were how these Brazilian sports cars were known in Brazil at the time.

I personally think this car is beautiful.

Auckland FC has qualified for the Intercontinental Cup to face Al Alhi - And what will happen with the OFC Champions League?

In addition to the A-League title, Auckland FC also won the OFC Professional League, which earned them a place in the Intercontinental Cup to face Al-Ahli of Saudi Arabia, Asian Champions, likely at their stadium.

And since South Melbourne is an Australian team and therefore cannot represent Oceania in any intercontinental competition, and Wellington Phoenix is not in the OFC Pro League, Auckland FC will most likely be the OFC representative in the 2029 Club World Cup. since it's unlikely any of the teams from other countries can compete with them.

But all this means that the OFC Champions League no longer grants its champion a place in any international cup, now being a kind of amateur or semi-professional Europa League for the OFC.

I personally don't like this, because even though it's not professional, the OFC CL is still a competition with historic teams from Oceania and with players who deserve an opportunity, which is what football is all about. This doesn't happen anywhere else in the world.

So I wish they would change that, either by having a playoff between the OFC Pro League champion and the OFC CL champion, or something like that.

One idea I had is for the OFC Champions League champion to receive a playoff spot in the OFC Pro League, either that same year or the following year. They would play against the top team from the OFC Pro League Challengers group.

What you think???

Agrale Marrua Pickup Racing - Brazilian Military Pickup Truck Transformed Into A Race Car.

Agrale is a Brazilian manufacturer primarily of military vehicles, with the Marrua being its main model, still manufactured today mainly for military use, but also sold in street versions.

In 2007, Agrale joined forces with a racing team Called Gramacho Racing to compete in a racing series called Pickup Racing. The car was driven by none other than the owner of Agrale at the time, Franco Stedile, who was a driver for Pickup Racing.

Pickup Racing was a Brazilian racing series that ran between 2001 and 2009, featuring racing versions of mid-size pickup trucks from Chevrolet, Ford, and Dodge With about 300 to 400 HP during these years

It had some success in Brazil at the time, serving as a support series for Stock Car Brasil. After ending in 2009, it gave way to a new series, a one-make GM series, the Copa Chevrolet Montana. You might recognize this car if you played Automobilista. The series existed between 2010 and 2012

I think that was the only time a Brazilian car manufacturer officially entered motorsports, apart from some Pumas(Brazilian car Brand) that raced in the past or still race in smaller series in Brazil, or the Brazilian prototypes that race in the Brazilian Endurance Championship, but I could be wrong.

GT Challenge De Las Americas - The Insane Pan-Central American Racing Series With A Mix Of GT3, Trans Am, Stock Car, GT300 And Many More

Central America isn't a place most people think of when they think of motorsports, at least not outside of there, but racing is there and the major series is honestly incredible. I was blown away when I came across this series.

GT Challenge de las Americas is a racing series that takes place on circuits in many Central American and Caribbean countries, such as Panama, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and more recently Guyana, which became the first English-speaking country to participate (another Caribbean country that comes to mind that could participate is Barbados).

The series features an impressive variety of cars and several classes, a crazy mix of GT3, TA2, classic Trans Ams, GT300s, and everything else that can compete with these cars, in addition to other separate classes, of course.

Toyota Gazoo Racing is there and a guy is racing this insane Supra against GT3s and Trans Ams, crazy!

I couldn't find any information about when the series started, so if anyone knows, please tell me here.

Of course, this isn't the only racing series in Central America or the Caribbean; there are other smaller ones in each country.

It's really cool to discover other racing series spread around the world outside of the US, Europe, and Japan.

V8 Thunder - Scandinavian Muscle Car Racing Series With 475 HP

V8 Thunder is a Swedish racing series, also existing in Finland.

The series began in 1975 and has undergone considerable changes over time, being known for many years as the Camaro Cup, with only Chevrolet Camaros competing, a one-make brand series.

For a long time, the series ran as a support series to the more famous Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC).

In 2013 The series opened up to more brands to participate, with Chevrolet, Ford, and a few others joining since then.

Nowadays, these cars closely resemble American stock cars like those in NASCAR or Trans Am, boasting around 475 HP V8 engines.

Pretty cool! Nice to learn more about motorsports in Sweden and Scandinavia.

The Chevrolet Vectras That Raced In Stock Car Brazil - 2000-2003

You might know these cars as Opel Vectra or Vauxhall Vectra, but in Brazil they were manufactured as Chevrolets, and GM raced silhouettes of these cars in Stock Car Brazil between 2000 and 2003.

I say silhouettes because from 2000 onwards, Stock Car Brazil cars became race cars built from scratch, with tubular chassis, only with a body shell that resembled the original car.

They started racing with V8 engines for the first time, which produced 450 HP at the time, weighed around 1320 kg, and had a bigger focus on downforce.

They were honestly pretty good for their time, they were quite fast. With 0-100 in 4.7 Seconds and 260kph top speed

This was also the last era in which Stock Car Brasil was a one-make racing series from GM, with them leaving the series in 2001, and Vicar becoming the company that manages the series.

From 2005 onwards, other manufacturers began to enter the series, although the cars are almost identical to have greater competitiveness and avoid high costs.

Will Reiza add these new Brazilian Stock Car SUVs to the game?

The new generation of Brazilian Stock Car races SUV silhouettes, these New cars are considerably faster and more modern than the older ones.

In its debut season in 2025, they raced turbo four-cylinder engines, which ultimately proved unsuccessful. In 2026, they switched to modern 500 HP V8 engines.

These cars look great and are fast, will reiza add them to the game in near Future?
