Looking for an Emirates employee who may be willing to refer me

I know this is a long shot, but I thought I'd ask.

I've been applying to roles at Emirates Group for the past few months. I've submitted 50+ applications for positions that genuinely match my experience in customer service, operations, and coordination. I've tailored my CV for each role and optimized it based on the job descriptions, but I haven't received a single interview invitation.

From what I've seen in the UAE job market, referrals seem to make a huge difference. So I'm hoping to connect with someone who currently works at Emirates and might be open to referring me if they feel my profile is a good fit.

I'm not asking anyone to blindly refer me. I'm happy to share my CV first, answer any questions, and only ask for a referral if you genuinely believe I'm suitable for the role.

If you're an Emirates employee and are willing to help, I'd really appreciate a DM. Even if you can't refer me, any advice on navigating the hiring process would mean a lot.

Thank you.

50+ Emirates applications in 3 months. Not even one interview call. Is this normal or just a system built

I’ve applied for 50+ roles at Emirates over the last 3 months.

Not exaggerating—different positions, slightly adjusted CVs, keyword optimized, ATS-friendly formats, everything aligned with job descriptions.

Result?
Zero interview calls. Not even a screening call.

What’s confusing is that I match (and in some cases exceed) the listed requirements. So I’m trying to understand what’s actually going on behind the scenes.

At this point it honestly feels like:

  • Job posts are just formalities
  • Most roles are already “internally filled” or reserved
  • Referrals are the real currency
  • External applicants are just feeding an ATS database

I’ve even started wondering if there’s any real chance for cold applicants without an internal connection.

Not blaming anyone, just genuinely trying to understand the system here.

Has anyone actually landed an Emirates role recently through cold application only? Or is referral basically the only realistic route?

Would appreciate honest experiences—no sugarcoating.

How to block any calls from this sh&$hole

A few months back, I accidentally enquired about credit card in paisa bazar. Since then, mfs been calling me every week. Make my temper so high that I almost threw my mobile phone several times. I even begged the call reps to delete my data from the database.

What can I do next? It’s affecting my day-to-day life

Planning for a trip to Armenia next May

Hi, travel advisers.

I'm an Indian, working in Dubai. I'm kinda international person - meaning - I'm into coins, stamps, experience, old-school travel, culture, languages, etc.

I was hovering through the map, and found Armenia sits almost near to U.A.E.
I'm a low-butgetter. Not a miser or a tightwad. But, as someone said - "To experience the best, you have to become local; not a tourist".

My target attractions are nature, culture, food, people and architecture.

Can someone suggest how to find the best cheapest, effective and safe ways to stay, food, travel (Yandex seems nice, any other suggestions?). Best itinerary?

Cold-start my Arabic speaking skills.

Assalamu Alaikum Brothers and Sisters..

I'm from Kerala, South India.

I speak 5 languages - English, Arabic, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.

Planning to extend count to 7 by adding French and Spanish (I like Spanish A LOT).

I used to work in Saudi Arabia a few years back, where I built my skills in Arabic Language.

Then I returned to India. and a year ago, I came to Dubai.

Here, I barely see any Arabs.

My Arabic feels rusty. It feels hard to understand basic words most of the time.

I'm trying to revive the language, but not sure where to start it.

I really like the language. Not just for professional purpose, but Linguistics is my thing.

Can someone help me out here?
