Context it started going down hill 3 weeks post op. I slowly started not being able tolerate soft foods, then not even puree stage. I followed all my surgeon post op instructions to a T. Now i am 10 weeks post op unable to eat or drink anything for the last 2 weeks without puking it up. On friday i was admitted to the hospital. So far they havent figured out whats wrong with me other than i have a case C Diff. The doctors are saying that C Diff wouldnt stop me from eating or drinking though so its a side issue not the main one. They scheduled a endoscopy for tuesday. I am shedding 1.5lbs to 2lbs now per day. I am in ketosis and my hemoglobin is dropping randomly everyday. I get severe pain 30 second to 3 minutes after swallowing anything from liquids to broth. Nothing stays down to the point where they have now made me on the diet protocol of "nothing by mouth" because puking is making me more dehydrated than the IV can replace. Weight at surgery date was 441. As of friday i am 380. So 61lbs in 9.5 weeks. Last time i held food down was 12 days ago. I have pain when the doctors push on my middle of stomach like the middle right side but they wont tell me why they keep checking there. The CT with contrast and the barium swallow both came back saying nothing wrong as best as they could see because i wasn't able to swallow alot of contrast due to immense pain. My surgeon said he has never seen this before and i am the unlucky 1% and i am starting to have alot of anxiety because nothing is showing wrong but i am in alot of pain when i try to even drink water.

I am posting because i am now really worried and confused what this could be. Any tips or anyone who have experienced similar. Please comment.

I have a highly infectious bacterial virus currently while also being admitted for something entirely different. I am unable to eat or drink without puking my guts up. I am on isolation and no one can come in without full protective gear from masks to face shields to body suits.

As a teenager i was in a few mental hospitals and this feels so similar but just with a better view. I am alone all day, everyday and they can't tell me how long ill be here for the main issue. But on isolation it could be up to 3 weeks. Today is day 4 and i am feeling like im trapped in a box. Its 1am, but im losing sense of time because i cant eat so i never get interaction other than suited up nurses for meds.

Does anyone have tips to get through this next fee days. Im in gas pain hell.

I have my surgery on Thursday. But today my wife was having raising canes combo and i caved. I had 2 tenders breaded. I feel so nervous. It felt relieving but now I’m terrified.

I have been on a 14 day pre op all liquid diet only 3 protein shakes a day and other clear liquids which is about 450 calories a day. No food. Its been so difficult. So far I’ve lost 24.2lbs in the last 11 days.

I am very nervous now. But very committed to surgery. Ive lost 82lbs now prior to surgery.

Has anyone had a doctor cancel surgery for having a little chicken?
