Florence as my basehub for a 7 day proposal trip?

\*\*Trip Dates : December 20-28, would arrive in Florence Italy on the 21st, leave on the 28th.\*\*

\*\*(Original trip planned for Milan and Como but there was A LOT of mixed reviews about public transport, scenery, and not much to do in December for the destinations)\*\*

\*\*This is my trip “activities” that are most important in order but not limited to;\*\*

\*\*Proposal:\*\* Planning a romantic, scenic proposal in florence / Tuscany , my photographer told me PIENZA would be best during December for scenery and photo shoots, but I’m open to other locations.

Experience Local Dining & Nightlife: Experience authentic regional winter dining, local trattorias, wine bars (enoteche), and craft cocktail lounges in lively, non-touristy neighborhoods.

\*\*Christmas Markets & Festive Sights:\*\* Exploring local Italian Christmas markets, holiday lights, and seasonal festivities

Is whiteflash overrated / overpriced?

I’ve been looking at white flashes in house precision. lab grown diamonds , around 3ct ovals , E-F, vvs, excellent, and they go for 2.5-3.3k. I’ve seen it in person and they look great, but now I’m rethinking if I need to go online or somewhere else?

I’ve been seeing posts on the subreddit that labs shouldn’t be more than 1.5 and saw a couple comments under an old whiteflash diamond that it was too over priced.

Late destinations suggestions for Dec 19-Dec 26/27

I had my PTO approved a little late for Dec 19-26/27 and my gf and I need some travel recommendations, we will be flying from Texas. It’s hard to choose cause most flights out of country are 14+ hours so it cuts actual vacation time to around 5 days

We are 25/26, like any weather, like to explore but also don’t mind a calm trip. Considering it’s Christmas week though, we’d prefer a Christmas feel if budget permits. I’m from NYC and we’ve been there a couple times, so we can knock that off the list.

We have about 310k in chase travel points, which is roughly 3.1k. We can spend another 1-3.5k for a place to stay. Food/drink not included in budget.

We were eyeing Japan for awhile around January but the flights are super expensive compared to then now.
