When to change break pads or disk pads?

I live in UAE with a 2020 camry hybrid and I bought it 1.5 years ago and have driven 20,000 km on it. I've no idea when did the previous owner change the break pads or disk pads. Im gonna go on a long road trip next month, around 5500 kms in 10 days. So I want to check if the breaks are okay. How do I know if the breaks are okay or not. Its my 2nd car, previously I had a BMW 525i - and didn't drive it much in the fear that it will break down if I drive it much, so im speaking from less experience when it comes to checking or replacing break parts. Appreciate your response.

Abu Dhabi to KSA via road for Umrah and Ziyarah

Dear Members,

I live in Abu Dhabi. I'm planning to go to Makkah via Riyadh, then Madina and then back via Riyadh by road by own car by October 2026.

I have a 2020 Camry hybrid. And I'm travelling with my wife and 3 kids, 8,6 and 4.

I am planning to rest in Riyadh while going and returning, and I'm planning to stay in Makkah for 2-3 days and in Madinah for 1-2 days depending on the energy we have.

I researched and found many kinds of guidance on car insurance, and Visa guidance and essentials while travelling.

My only question is, while I am doing this trip on a Camry and with kids of these ages, what specific guidance will I need in regards to my particular car and travelling with kids of this age group for long distance?
