I do not celebrate holidays. Birthday. Anniversary. Etc etc. I’ve never met anyone else like this. Are you out there?

I absolutely gift for reasons. Cheer up gift-like a car detail for someone down on the dumps. If someone has a dietary change, visit a baker of foods and recipes just printed out. A delivery of frozen meals for new families. A day of home repair honey do things even if I have to hire it out and pay for it. If you call me for funeral food dishes to take, your getting Costco.

But the commercial paper bow on this day- nope. Not doing it. No trees, candles, dinners , music and all that. Not for me.

Not everyone in my family is like this and friends find it ghastly.

To them I say “so what” - they do NOT whine to me so that’s a big benefit. The look on my face is just too plain. I’m not the one.

Pillsbury layer biscuits but homemade?

I used to know how to make these- all the tutorials I’ve watched are a little off somehow.

Can someone refresh me on making layer biscuits at home?

Sitting Bull - (Netflix)

I saw this today as a suggested pick. I am woefully ignorant to his history & biography.

Anyone viewed it have an opinion on it? I’m assuming it’s a documentary style release.

Exhaustion from procedures/ recovery

Had a follow up today. 3 things:

  1. Food. My God I cannot bear salted foods. It just makes me want to heave. My guideline is 1500 daily- I just blow it off because I do pickle juice at night before bed and maybe a capful in the morning/afternoon.

  2. Frequency of food. I’m balls to the walls serious- I can do like 3 tablespoons and I’m maxed. He says that’s fine but just do it on schedule. I’m not catabolic but close. That’s really scary if you’ve ever been through it. So today, I’m setting my I phone alarm every hour.
My energy level should pick up if I get religious about it.

  3. The cycle of treatments/recovery. Ya, it’s hard, no walk in the park. Mental health takes a beating-and it’s not just my beating- it’s the family.

How are you guys managing some of this stuff?

Life & disability insurance for storm chasers?

Can they even get polices or plans? Sincerely curious - I can only imagine if it was loved one out there filming how stressful the fallout would be. Even high impact/low impact injury events. I don’t know-are these folks just straight up disqualified on personal policies?

Carlisle disinterment

Tribal remains for a lot of folks are being returned.

Question: assuming age /conditions, the caskets are simple pine, box style but the bone material is present-what are they most likely transferring that into container wise? I’m also assuming any remains are put in aircraft for return to the tribe. The literal funeral director role for oversight has me a bit lost?

What role do they play?
