Gas light comes on too early?

Every time my gas light comes on, I've only used between 11 and 12 gallons. The tank is meant to be 14.5 gallons, right? So do the VW's really have an extra 3-3.5 gallon of reserve fuel or is my sensor just finicky? I should note I do also average about 365 miles before the light turns on and I know the mpg on these isnt exactly exceptional.

First house-sit decline

Normally when I decline bookings its because they've already found someone else or they just never responded. This time I actually did the meet and greet. The dog was sweet, the owners were super nice, but unfortunately what they needed was someone who wouldn't need to leave the house the whole booking which isnt feasible for me (the dog has severe separation anxiety).

I have a full time job that sometimes requires me to be out of the house for 6-8 hours and I'm very upfront about that with every client. I can request off for constant care bookings but I would need 2 week notice of the dates and this booking was for this upcoming weekend. Had to decline a repeat client for the same reason so double whammy on missing out on the holiday pay, but the comfort of the dogs is more important than a quick buck. I feel bad the owners might have to potentially scramble to find someone else, but I couldn't in good conscience agree to a booking that I couldn't 100% commit to.

S9 team contrast

The blue team is so chill and wholesome and then the red team is out here with Elise and Carrie about to duke it out every 5 seconds. 😭 it was refreshing to see a team swap actually work out positively for once but watching the red team is pretty unbearable.

The amount of bodyshaming was uncomfortable

Really hated the way the writers would body-shame and bully the actual actors of their show. A few of those actors (Chord and Chris) have gone on to say how the constant ragging on them for their looks has made them insecure.

But also some of it was just weird. Like was I supposed to believe that Cory Monteith and Max Adler were fat and undesirable? Because the writers sure seemed to want me to think that. Not to mention all the weird antisemitism and transphobic "jokes" toward Rachel (say what you will about Lea as a person but she is objectively a gorgeous woman).

They werent funny and they were just really mean-spirited towards the cast. Even Naya went on to say that some of Santanas rants towards the other characters felt way too personal towards her RL cast mates and were uncomfortable to film.

I can see why Elise is infamous 💀

"I get along with everybody" girl is the everybody in the room with us? Because your whole entire team hates you and you came off the bus ready to pick a fight.

Chef Jillian s8

Just got to the episode where she was eliminated and Gordon must've really had a soft spot for her because he let her keep the jacket and gave her a little pep talk after her bad F5 service.

Honestly I liked her too but I don't think she had it in her to be executive chef so having her go home was the right decision.

Review average went down

I'm a little disappointed that my last house sit only gave me 4 stars despite specifying that I handled everything well. Shes a Boarder on Rover too so she knows how rigged the whole system is. I'm still pretty new to this and only have 2 total reviews so that really brought my average down. Now I'm concerned people are gonna see me as a red flag or avoid me. :/

S8 Sabrina has grown on me.

When she toned down the "ghetto" act she became a lot more tolerable.

Shes cute too out of uniform.

Rob, however...wish it'd been him leaving instead of Boris. Became a total snake just to crash and burn an episode later.

Dogs in bed

House-sitting for 2 Doodle mixes over the weekend. The owner told me she wanted me to sleep in the bed with both of them. I've shared a bed with cats before so I thought "okay nbd". Kinda sucks. For one, the dogs kept getting all up in my face which just became overstimulating. And I felt like I couldnt really move positions at all because they would get all excited anytime I did. So I woke up with a sore back, earlier than I intended, on very little sleep. And I'm a little frustrated at the idea of having to do it again.

The dogs are very sweet and well-behaved otherwise but I wonder how much sleeping with them is a deal breaker because last night was an awful experience.

Finished BCS

I thought the ending was really good overall. Loved the symbolism and the full circle moment of Jimmy finding himself again and reclaiming McGill after spending all those years burdened by it. Theres just a couple little nitpicks and timeline things that bother me.

  1. how far after the events of BrBa is it supposed to be? In "Waterworks" he says its 6 years since hes seen Kim (which is believable because she has a whole new established life and partner), but then in "Saul Gone" he says its only been 2 years since he first met Walter. This doesnt really make any sense because Howard died the same year the events of BrBa started and Kim left him that same year. So is it supposed to be 2012 or 2016? Was he really only Gene for a few months before getting caught? And how has it been 6 years since hes seen Kim if its only 2 years since he met Walt?

  2. Marie's reason for being there story-wise was kinda weak to me. Saul may have been a terrible person, but he really didnt have anything to do with Schrader or Gomez's deaths. The argument that him enabling Walter and if he hadn't done that they would still be alive is kind of a weak one imo. Schrader's job came with an inherent risk when he took it. But everyone else involved is dead too so who else is Marie gonna project if not the scumbag lawyer who knew of it all? It felt like the writers just wanted an excuse to involve the actress but it would've made sense for Skyler to be there instead.

3 episodes in s8

So glad to have a decent red team again, but bruh...is Raj a plant? Cuz ain't no way he's serious 😂 I thought Gordon and the rest of the team were gonna go insane.

I don't like the way everyone gangs up on Autumn

Sure she started out a little bossy and shes sometimes inconsistent but shes overall a nice girl and really didnt deserve to be the constant scapegoat. Especially when Benjamin is literally right there and is an arrogant douche. Considering how much of a pig Jay is, i'm surprised hes so hostile towards her. Shes a beautiful lady.

S7 Holli is a surprise

Kinda thought she was gonna be an early boot based on how she was introduced but she's been the beacon of light on this horrible red team. She's the only person in the season so far who hasnt fucked up a challenge or a service and she's fairly nice to her teammates as well. I hope she doesn't go down from here because I think she has winner potential.

Halfway through s7

I wasnt a huge fan of Siobhan but Benjamin's smirk after she finally got eliminated made me want her to stay out of spite. The way he bullied her constantly was just distasteful

Mike is unrealistically competent

Mike being so scarily prepared and 5 steps ahead of every single scenario just makes his death in Breaking Bad feel kinda lame as a result. Also does take me out of the realism of the show as well tbh like yeah he's cool but it stops being interesting after 6 seasons.

Halfway through s7

This has gotta be one of the worst red teams I've seen, if not the worst. They all had it out for Autumn and she was clearly not the problem.

Scott's annoying af and never shuts up. Glad hes gone.

Lowkey rooting for Fran and Autumn. Though I'm impressed at how Holli has skated under the radar thus far.

Place is filthy

Booked for 2 overnight stays at this place I'm catsitting for and its absolutely uninhabitable. You can't even access the sinks, it smells awful, and I feel like I have to sterilize myself just being in there. The cats are super sweet and I feel bad for them. Idk how people can live like this but I think I'm just gonna make this into a night and morning drop-in. Should I put this in their review? It's very possible I just caught the owner at a really bad time, but I also feel like future sitters should be warned.
