Using a Fresnel lens to make my blind spot warning more visible

I'm driving a 2017 VW Beetle that I really love but am getting concerned about safety and wondering if gluing a Fresnel lens over the amber blind spot warning might enhance visibility - thus safety. Any thoughts about a 30mm (or so) lens type and source would be appreciated.

Here's the mirror:

Thanks.

Broken latch

Hi everyone, I just got a 2003 vw beetle two days ago and the latch is broken. I was wondering what I can do to get it open and fix it. Don’t ask me bout the stains, I need to clean the car up.

This broke in my convertible top.

Anyone have a part number because I do not want to replace the whole top. The ball knob thingy broke off at the treading.

Convertible top not alleging or latching properly. Also no longer opening.

I have a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle convertible GLS the top is no longer working properly. I washed the car by hand yesterday it was working but its no longer working. I tried to roll the windows down then up then letting them go down on their own but its still not working. Any advice on repairing it would be great!

Which OBD reader

I’ve tried 3 different OBD readers on my 2002 beetle 1.6l and none work. They either can’t read or I can’t find the right software. Granted the OBD readers are those small ones that connect via mobile phone so that could be the problem. Has anyone found a reader that works correctly? Happy to know brands and plugins required. Also I have an aftermarket stereo with the power cables swapped I heard that can effect the reader? Is that true?

I've been a bit lazy so I have not fully fixed/restored it but this is my progress so far.

Sorry about the cussing or mispronunciation it's almost 2:00 a.m. for me.

Mom said take the beetle. So I took her 300 miles away from home.

I did not know the beetle could handle well to be honest.

Hello i have recently crashed my beetle into a curb and i cannot seem to find this part anywhere. I bought this car used and im not sure if the previous owner had bought this as an aftermarket part? Anyone know what this part is called? Tried searching for splash shield, front lower brace, skid plate and i still can’t seem to find it. Thank you

Finally got my dream car

I’ve wanted a beetle since I was a kid. And today I finally bought a 2013 2.5L with 80k miles! Definitely have same buyers remorse as someone who lives very frugally and doesn’t like spending money AT ALL. Once I get adjusted though it’ll feel normal again.

I get attached to cars so I’m definitely missing my old one but it was time. Just graduated uni and letting this be a gift to myself.
Also- anyone have advice on how to operate the keyless entry? Pressing and holding the handle brings all windows down, but I can’t figure out how to roll back up without getting inside the car, starting it, and rolling up the windows again. Thanks for reading my little speech! ❤️❤️glad to be part of the club!

Need help with a few things in my new beetle!

Hello! I recently bought a new 2001 beetle off of facebook marketplace, it’s in decently rough shape, but the thing that stood out the most were the rear struts on the trunk not holding the trunk up, and the interior door handles being snapped off. I fixed the trunk issue with new struts for around $40, but I can’t figure out the handles. I love my car to bits, but I don’t know how to fix it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
