Woodrat living in Kitchen and Airvents - Utah

One week ago we checked into a rental home in Rural Summit / Woodward Utah right outside of Park City.
Day one we found a rodent had been in our food and kitchen. Day 3 the exterminators caught a woodrat. The last day we were there (a whole week) we noticed a poop right on the air vent right below the table my family played cards at every day and night for a whole week straight. It was definitely fresh poop we must have inhaled.
We shared a kitchen with this thing for 3 days until it was caught. Plus poop on the air vent.
I’m terrified for my family and 8 weeks is such a long time to panic.

Deer Mouse in AIRBNB kitchen in Rural Park City Utah - Vacate?

My family checked into a rental in the middle of a huge forest in the absolute furthest north above Woodward Park City, Utah. Completely isolated from anything urban. There are only a few houses around us. The next morning in our kitchen on a very tall counter: an avocado sitting on the counter was chewed up, and a whole bowl of candy (30ish candy pumpkins) was missing.

My family heard “a critter” in the night, we can hear it above the downstairs bedrooms and below the upstairs ones where the kitchen is. It starts scurrying around 9pm and did it off and on all night.

My mom didn’t think much of things and started cooking breakfast, put the empty bowls away. She then noticed the avocado. We all ate breakfast in said kitchen. Then she mentioned the avocado and I panicked.

And exterminator and a cleaning service came out this afternoon. The exterminator said it’s probably a deer mouse, and we don’t need to leave the home. We cooked dinner and ate it in said kitchen again tonight. I am currently laying in bed wide awake listening to the critter run around in the ceiling above me. Again starting around 9pm. It is currently almost 11:30pm.

I have been in an extremely high anxiety state, I have some self diagnosed health OCD and extreme anxiety. My family is not taking this seriously at all, neither is the owner of the home we are renting, nor the pest control.

Should I be panicked? Should we leave the home (they will not give us a refund). Should we go to the hospital? We have officially been in the house 32 hours and have had 2 meals in the kitchen where the rodent very obviously was. He also had to have spent his night taking individually each of the 30ish candies from the bowl on the kitchen counter. That means he was all over the kitchen all night.

Need to add: all exterminator did was set up 4 traps around the house. And said we are all set. But a deer mouse in this area? I feel like it should be taken seriously and since the owner, property manager, and pest control (hired by owner) seem to not be worried or care, the rest of my family is not worried at all. Only me panicking freaking out and unable to sleep.

I am worried about Hantavirus.
