Overwhelmed, Looking for a new TV | Sony, LG, Samsung, Philips

I'm always quite overwhelmed researching new tech. Usually it narrows down to either, it's not available or it explodes the budget.

I now had a 400€ Philips TV (I don't know the model) in my bedroom that lived for 7 years. Unfortunately it has died on me today, so I'm looking for a replacement.

It has run almost every night, all night for at least 4 years nonstop with YT, Netflix, or Disney. I'm aware this may sound stupid, but you can imagine I don't really care much for picture quality, display technology, or whatnot if I presume that anything I buy new now will, arguably, be an upgrade to my current TV.

Budget is 300-700€
Size 50-55''
Preference on quality & longevity
Placement Bedroom wall mounted
Like I mentioned, only intended to watch YT, and series or movies on Netflix & Disney.

About the brand, well, my Philips has held up now for almost a decade, so it seems to work. I've read a lot of controversy, especially about Sony and Samsung, so I'm not sure. As for other brands, I honestly don't know. I live in Europe, LG, Sony, Philips, Samsung, those are the few big brands that you see everywhere and are easy to get.

I hope I don't sound too toxic in my post, I don't intend to upset anyone. I'm just tired of doing a ton of research on my own again, only to end up wasting money on a bad choice and going through the whole return/warranty process again. So I would really highly appreciate any recommendation you might have. Thx.

Spinning rod for ~5g - ~35g cw Recommendation

I've decided to stick to a three rod system for now since I don't want to own 10 rods as a beginner.
I don't have a good fishing store in my area, so I'm having a hard time getting a recommendation in person.

I own rn a Daiwa Tatula 1.5-11g, 204cm for perch and trout and a Prorex 18-84g, 240cm for Pike.

I would like to test out different baits, so I'm looking for smth to fit the gap between ~5g to ~35g lures for a universal rod. I'm not so sure on the length or what brand. I'm mostly fishing from the shore.

So far I love my Daiwa's, I've heard that Shimano, Westin, Sportex, Zeck and Savage Gear should have great rods too.

If you can recommend any other brand or a specific model, I'd be really thankful for your help.

Danke LG.

Falls ihr eine Emfehlung habt. Ich hab grad zwei Daiwa's, 1.5-11g und eine 18-80g. Ich möchte eben eben keine 10, 20 Ruten besitzen.

First Pike Rod & Reel Recommendation

I just recently got my fishing license and would like to start fishing for pike from the shore. I'm completely new and just got a Shimano Sahara 3000FE reel gifted. I already looked up a few things online, but I'm still a bit overwhelmed.

I've heard that Daiwa and Shimano rods are good. If anyone could recommend me a good starter rod and maybe a more suitable reel, I would be really thankful for any advice.

Recomendations for a beginners fishing rod

Hi guys, so I just got my fishing license yesterday and would like to get some input from you first before wasting endless money on cheap junk.

I live in central Europe and would like to focus for now on spin fishing trout, bass, and walleye for starters.

My father in law gifted me a Shimano Sahara 3000FE Roll, and I would like to find a good universal rod for starters. Since I don't have a boat and also want to fish on rivers and lakes, I was looking at smth in the range of 240 cm in length with a 5-35g casting weight.

My budget is around 100-200€. Found some decent Shimano and Diwa rods on sale but if you can recommend any model for a beginner, I'd be really thankful for that!

BFG Micro vs Direct Action Compact IFAK thoughts?

I've been looking for a new IFAK and came across those two here.

I don't have any personal experience with such compact IFAK's and for my new job (leo) I need to scale it down. I'm already a bit skeptical of them since, for any significant loadout, it seems to be pretty small. Like you'd barely fit in a 4'' bandage, 1x QuickClot, and maybe a NAR compact chest seal and that's it. So I'm not sure if it's worth spending around ~60-90€ for these or if it's just going to waste space on my belt.

If you have any experience with them, thoughts, or other better alternatives, let me know. Thx

Savotta Kantamus 40L vs Crossfire CF3 Pack

I've been looking to upgrade from the standard issued pack to a better field pack and came across these two that meet my criteria. I can't really decide which would be the better choice the CF3 or the Kantamus 40L.

Putting brand affiliation and flashy photo shoots aside, which pack would generally be more useful for actual deployment in the event of a mobilization notice. I assume that, aside from volume, quality, weight, etc., both packs are roughly on par. So I'd like to hear if anyone has firsthand experience, positives, negatives, or nitpicks about either pack, or what you would generally recommend based on your experience.

The only notable difference for me is that the Kantamus is much easier to access on the EU market, while the CF3 would likely cost a bit more bucks due to import fees. Thanks in advance!

Agilite MD2™ Compact IFAK thoughts

I've been seeing this IFAK popping up for a while now in every store, but there are very few to no detailed reviews or complaints about it.

I'm just curious, does anyone run it? Or generally, what are your thoughts about it?
